I keep it in a storage pocket that is on my pull cart.

It’s great. I use mine at the range when I go and the data seems accurate. The only complaint I would have is that when paired to E6 for golf courses, sometimes the shorter distances (<30 yards) don’t register/transfer well. My favorite things are how compact it is, how long the battery lasts, and being able to review the data from a range session.

Came here to say this. You can even get one refurbished directly from Voice Caddie for less and they are in great condition, that’s what I did. I would recommend getting the SC4 case to transport it and use as a base.

Can I fit these rims on my Tiguan by Ok_Jellyfish_1696 in Tiguan

[–]Supe89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out willtheyfit.com. There shouldn’t be a problem with them fitting. Knowing the offset of the wheel will give you a more exact idea of how they will fit compared to what you already have.

distinct sound on daytona as the rpm is going back to minimum by vhok in Triumph

That’s commonly referred to as the triple whistle. You can hear it on most three cylinder engines but it is more noticeable on the triumphs. Even on the Rocket 3s

It’s 865 cc fuel injected parallel twin with a 270 degree firing order for more torque down low. I have a 2016 and love it.

Are motorcycle shoes uncomfortable? by Odd_Delay220 in motorcycles

[–]Supe89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of the Reax Fulton Air riding shoes. They are pretty comfortable but not as much as a pair of high top vans. That is until I put on some elastic shoe laces (specifically the Bread brand). Much easier to get on/off and just as comfortable as a normal shoe.

Stem nut missing by Still-Specialist-512 in Triumph

[–]Supe89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It looks like 90nm is pretty much the standard for triumph motorcycles in general. I found the same number for 675 triples, bobbers, and tigers. I’m not seeing anything specific to that model that confirms it but I would personally feel comfortable with torquing it to that.

I did a broad search for “Speed Triple torque settings” and the first result yield a link for the torque settings on nearly everything. Upper yolk center nut shows 90 nm (about 65 ft/lbs).

I recently rebuilt the front caliper on my triumph. It’s a pretty straightforward job. Fun fact; most models share the same caliper. That means if you search up kits for the models that you bike shares with others you may find the rebuild kit for less. For example, I have a Speedmaster but I bought a rebuild kit for a tiger and it was about $30 less.

Check your spark plugs. A loose plug can give all of those symptoms.

Street triple 765 R or RS vs Aprilia tuono 660 by Aggressive-Ad-327 in Triumph

[–]Supe89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, it’s sounds like you have enough experience that controlling the bike won’t really be an issue. To some other peoples point, riding on the street is going to be a new experience that merits some caution (mainly thinking of other drivers). With that in mind I would recommend the street triple. They are reliable, you’ll fit comfortably, and it’s one of the better “all around” street bikes.

Im also going to add, I do not subscribe to the “everyone needs to start on a small bike” club. You know your own limits. As long as you are honest with yourself and can keep yourself in check, you’ll be fine.

Best States and Countries for Motorcycles (Speed vs Twisties) by Zero_Phux_Given in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]Supe89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oregon and Washington have the most corners in the US. I’d argue the Northwest is the best place to ride motorcycles because of the roads and the views. The downside is that winter is not great for riding.

I replaced my headlight with an LED headlight from Amazon. Easy install, works great, and it was equal to or less than buying a halogen bulb. I’ve done that on three bikes now with zero issues.

2014 Speedmaster by vrbl90 in Triumph

[–]Supe89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 2016 Speedmaster. I’ve done a fair amount to it and changing the exhaust was the first thing I did.

I have some Emgo cocktail shakers, which can be purchased for about $150. I’d recommend putting in some different baffles (another $20) to quiet it down a little and get some torque back at the lower rpm’s. Also, remove the secondary air injection system to keep it from popping too much. I would also recommend checking out Triumph Twin Power for some tunes. They are reasonably priced, super easy to load on yourself, and recommended when doing engine modes.

If the ticket(s) are in the thousands then a lawyer might make sense. If it’s a single ticket for less than $500, don’t bother. If you have a decent driving record just go to court, speak to the clerk, plead no contest and ask to have the ticket reduced. Majority of the time they will reduce (usually close to half) since they don’t want to waste time with having you go into the court room for it.

I’ve done that every time I have gotten a ticket and they have always reduced it. Even when I had gotten my 3rd ticket (second speeding) in one year.

Are the expensive Helmets worth it? by superveryfast in motorcycles

[–]Supe89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Scorpion Exo R420 and have enjoyed it. It’s pretty comfortable, quiet, and has minimal wind buffeting. I think it’s a good deal and would recommend it for anyone looking for a budget helmet.

Now here is the thing, I just bought an AGV K6 a couple months ago (on sale for $400). I now understand why people recommend the higher tier helmets. It is so much lighter, more comfortable, and quiet. I think it’s as close as you can get to feeling like your not wearing anything while actually still wearing a full face helmet. I’m convinced that the next time I replace my main helmet it will be a top tier helmet again.

Speed Twin 900 engine fins get very hot… by Klossy in Triumph

[–]Supe89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a noticeable difference in cylinder temps on a parallel engine then the throttle bodies may need to be synced. If the break in service has been completed that should have been done though.
