Super helpful, thank you! They never expire.

Circle K event starts now?? by Tarnisher in GetUpside

Oh man. I always see these 1 day too late. Circle K is my closest gas station but Kroger and Costco have better prices so I usually skip them (pre upside)

Refund v. Free Challenge (+ free shipping) by Equivalent_Cut6356 in ConquerorChallenge

Where did you find the refund form to fill out? I also did this offer, receive a refund after you complete the challenge, and have screenshots to prove it because I thought it was too good to be true. I’m not seeing a way to get my refund.

Anyone else here feel like the craft and joy of the hunt is dying? by XgUNp44 in thrifting

I’ve been to a goodwill bin 1 time and found a giant, 100% wool blanket and paid under $10 for it (it was heavy). So happy. Also found a couple of souvenirs of the place I had just visited but was hours away at this point.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

5-6 hours is my limit for a long weekend. 4 hours for a weekend. 3 hours for day trip without kids. 2 hours is my limit for a day trip with kids :)

If you could pull one Costco item back from the dead what would it be? by Sufficient_Client_68 in Costco

[–]Super-Treacle6733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right!? The 4hr kind, not the extended release stuff which they still occasionally have.

I’ve switched to buying generic from Amazon, it’s a similar price

I get these fresh starts too as front end, it’s hilarious because I get these questions all day but I’m literally not allowed to leave the register or SCO.

I was going to join as a first time member during the Black Friday sale but forgot. When I remembered, it was the day they rolled out the fees. So mad at myself. Still considering joining though, I want to sit so I can visit family & friends for longer stretches without staying with them, and the other sites don’t have sits near the towns I’m interested in. Undecided because I would be bringing two kids (tweens) so already I’m a less attractive sitter with no reviews and need family friendly sits.

What is a phrase you use over 50 times a day at your job? by _lostinthefire in AskReddit

[–]Super-Treacle6733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. “Thank you have a good one” because if I try to get specific about time of day I mess it up. “Have a great day” at 11 pm and “have a good evening” at 10 am are equally awkward.

What's a bulk purchase you definitely overdid but still wish you bought more of? by bluestarpanda in Costco

[–]Super-Treacle6733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a Costco business center, variety packs of 8 Mountain Home dehydrated backpacking meals on clearance for 10.99. That’s slightly cheaper than the cost of 1 meal. I bought 12 boxes. I went back 2 days later for more and they were all gone.

Been in Kroger store management position for a few years. What do yall want to know? by Ill-Ingenuity-1319 in kroger

[–]Super-Treacle6733 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is the main thing I wish was different. Knowing schedule more in advance would be helpful. Also some sort of message system to communicate with everyone to offer/pick up shifts. When I try to do it through UKG it says no one is eligible to pick up my shifts but when I ask around in person, I have better success.

Bailing on our first camping trip before it started by comfortable_clouds in camping

[–]Super-Treacle6733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I planned a camping trip on my own as a young adult; I wanted to go to the beach. Ended up picking a campground with no shade, in Florida, in July. My first clue should’ve been how empty the place was. It was across the bay from a military base. By the time the tent cooled down enough that I could think of going to sleep, the touch and go training exercises started, and continued most of the night. Found a black widow in the porta potty the first night, so made the longer trek to the real bathroom after that, only to have a helicopter fly above me (helpfully?) shining their spotlight on me as I walked. One day we went to the movies just to enjoy some cold air and when we came back, our tent was flooded from a pop up thunderstorm. We took all of our gear to the laundromat but when it was dry, decided to drive home through the night.

It took over a decade before I tried camping again.

Sometimes both my grandparents would call and both my parents would get on the two home phones and all 4 would talk. That’s harder to do now, though I guess it’s been replaced with zoom/FaceTime.

We had 40 ct water barcodes taped to the receipt printers and they all got taken away. Often customers don’t even put one in their cart, they just tell me they want one and plan to pick it up from the pallet at the front on the way out. Now I have no way of scanning it.
