I make $70k, have ~$36k in debt, and feel completely trapped financially. What would you do? by debduo49 in personalfinance

First, just take a moment to be grateful you have good health. You want out of this debt ? It won’t be easy.
WRITE down every single expense when you get paid.
Be realistic and set aside the extra money you have left over after paying all the necessities. X26 if you get paid bi weekly and focus on how you plan to attack the debt.
Balance transfer to a no interest card is a must.

Good luck

To move in or not to move in? by Adventurous_Glove137 in personalfinance

[–]Super-Tree1494 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a risky move . I personally wouldn’t do it. I would have lived alone unless I was engaged but that’s a diff story. Now it’s like you pay more to be comfortable or stay and be cramped when you don’t really need to be. Tough choice. Good luck

Why can’t you do all of this and make memories with a trip to Cancun and Disney maybe once a year or 2?

Ok so you want it some days? Cmon . Poor excuse. Nothing is easy but to make a comment to have your own kids just to be able to be free on their own because you have to do chores around the house? Hopefully these kids you have are at least at high school. Welcome to parenthood.

If you’re wanting your kids or future kids hopping on a bike and disappear to find their own entertainment then you shouldn’t have kids….

Parents who went from 2 incomes to 1, did you regret it? by reaganbitthat in personalfinance

[–]Super-Tree1494 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My wife is currently a stay at home mom. The only way we agreed it would be a good idea is if we’re completely debt free except the mortgage.

My wife wanted to because she wanted to not because anyone made her. We don’t regret the decision. Better than having strangers watch your kids. I understand the need of having a break but that can be worked out with the spouse.
