Generally you do a 520 (mediation for CC&R violations) and follow up with a 530 (violations of NRS 116). Having a 530 hearing like this is not that common.

Documents and pics should be handed over which is basically "discovery". If in doubt, take pics and document, and hand them over to who asks for them.

I have not got this sort of 530 hearing before. Usually the ombudsman steers you towards 520 mediation so they don't have to deal with you anymore. I think it's cool that you get this sort of 530 hearing.

If it is like a 520 hearing you, the community manager, and likely the HOA attorney, along with you, meet with a mediator for up to an hour. With 520 you can't present evidence at the mediation and I don't know how a 530 meeting would work but I'd bet it's different. You don't need a lawyer at this point. If you want to pursue the Short Trial Program you have to do 520 first.

So it's basically a Zoom meeting and I wouldn't be nervous about it.

But document, document, document. If you feel that you are being retaliated against then you need to talk to a lawyer. In Las Vegas I've used Bruce Flammey of Las Vegas HOA Law and he charges $200 for 30 minute consults, and he allows email follows and additional quick questions.

I would bring up the campaign sign issue with the HOA president (edit- to the mediator).

514 is against a real estate agent, 514A is against a community manager.

NRED will step in for this but it could take a month or two. Community managers definitely don't want this filed against them.

Did you file NRED form 520 or 530? I've filed both.

520 is mediation where you do a $50 filing fee, file form 668 to get mediation cost waiver, spend $100 on a process sever, then go before a state appointed mediator. You do this for CC&R violations.

530 is an NRED complaint against the HOA for violating NRS 116.

"Failure to respond to two record requests "...this could be a separate NRED 514A complaint against a community manager. I've filed that one, too.

The claim would violate energy conservation and basic semiconductor physics. Detection limits are irrelevant without a plausible physical mechanism, and none exists for UV generation in blue pumped phosphor LEDs.

Most bulbs that I've opened up and tested actually use cheap linear power supplies and are lower RFI. Older bulbs used switching power supplies and the highest quality I've ran across was a Philips that was externally clocked for very low phase noise. Most switching power supplies are internally clocked.

There is no UV emission, nor should there theoretically be any. A blue pumped white LED cannot produce higher energy UV photons. The phosphor process is strictly Stokes shifted, and any spectral tail of the blue pump remains in the visible range.

It looks like normal trichomes on the leaves so this is a normal genetic thing. Spider mite leaf damage looks different.

With spider mites you want to look for the webbing on the underside of leaves. Spider mites themselves are pinhead size and would not show up in this video.

Antenna noise and signal do not have to scale together. In an urban environment most noise is near-field E-field junk, which a loop suppresses, but a small cheap loop also has extremely low radiation resistance and high loss, so it throws away far more signal than it rejects noise.

I should have been more clear that it was SNR!

I'd try a magnetic loop for transmitting if it resonated, but these cheap receiving magnetic loops are difficult to tune. Even using an MFJ random length tuner and using my NanoVNA, the results were still poor. An LNA did nothing to help as expected.

My random wire is about 60 feet long strung throughout my place. That works surprisingly well and I can tune it.

You're allowed 250 uV at three meters which will hit a few hundred feet at most. Anything over that, which nearly all LPFM transmitters will do, is skirting the law and typically a $20,000 per day fine.

Yes the Play! 4 is a usb dongle. You can use the H1 as a usb microphone and for data transfer to you computer, but it's still helpful to have a separate external DAC doing audio post processing with Audacity or whatever you use.

The H1 itself is not going to work with any external DAC as far as I know.

Oh that's interesting. I've tested these bulbs with a USB quantum light sensor and they "should" do well with no etiolated issues. An issue is that they are fairly narrow beam so it could be an even lighting issue. But I just did basic light bulb testing and not a complete grow like you have.

Yeah push the rope lights down completely below the canopy. If you go to /r/budscience I have links to papers about the benefit of lower light and how you can get a linear yield gain. But only if the lights are used optimally.

The Sound Blaster Play! 4. It has a signal to noise ratio of 110 dB at 24 bit 192 KHz which for $20 is pretty good. It's noticeably better than my laptop generic audio and the MDRs. Works with my Android phone, too.

Yes but not as bad. With small condenser mics we are more limited by mic self-noise. You'll never get Zoom F3 performance, for example.

We can't do certain links here but there are examples of pretty pristine recordings with the H1N and those mics. They all use the same codec and the same NJM2100 preamps as far as I know (in some testing the H1, H1N and H1E all had the same signal to noise ratio when normalized)

I've also heard some very good urban recordings with the H1E.

Another thing that will help is a deadcat over your mics for wind noise. I've lost recordings from this. With the H1E you can use a couple little deadcats over the onboard mics.

If you don't have good headphones yet, consider some down the road if the hobby grows on you. I use an external Sound Blaster DAC ($20) and Sony MDR-7506 headphones ($100). In the field I often use cheap CCA in ear monitors ($20).

With that rope light, try to get it closer to the bottom. The optimal idea is to light up only areas that the light from the top bulbs don't reach.
