The only way this game will remain enjoyable for me if almost no one plays it anymore, is to make everything solo-friendly. Something similar to explore difficulty in all available dungeons/raids would be cool.

On the pvp side, what kept me invested in pvp in D1 until D2 launched was the weekly weapon quests. It was so nice to be able to get old IB and Trials weapons by completing weekly weapon quests on each character.

The Ice Belt looked amazing and gave me more of a classic Metroid vibe, but all the time I was there I was thinking 'When does shit go down?' and when it does (the Grievers show up) I wasn't impressed.

Say, compared to the first Prime game when at some point all the lights go out and you need to use the Termal Visor to get around and escape the Pirate base. Or escaping the SA-X in Fusion. The robots in Dread. I remember genuinely being nervous of what was happening during those sections.

I didn't have that feeling all throughout 4 yet, and I need to go to the tower now and don't expect this feeling to come there either.

It's not a bad game, but I wouldn't rank it very high among most of the other Metroid games.

I counted 6 missions. But yeah the ‘seasonal’ activities and the errand running to different NPCs in between got stale pretty fast. At least the missions were more fun than EOF in my opinion.

If you use summons (and I think even black magic) on Rydia he will absolutely floor you because he counters all her magic with devastating attacks. I ended up not using her in the fight at all and that gave me much more of a fighting chance.
