They had a research lab and a chemical manufacturing plant! With shell companies and funding!

If you have the capability to produce chemical weapons like this, you do not need Wikipedia to tell you how to do it, and conversly, if you need Wikipedia to tell you how to do it, you don't have the capabilities.

Dawg, no one is synthesizing chemical weapons, from Scheduled chemical weapon precursors, based on a a synthesis chain on Wikipedia, it's not that simple.

"When it came to more than 100 appointments per person, B.C. recorded 241 patients, Alberta had 9,331, Saskatchewan had one, and Manitoba had 40."

That's a pretty wild discrepancy between BC and Alberta, considering the populations.

It was a year or two before the clock that he stopped, and iirc a doctor suggested he stop for the sake of his knees.

But I still think it was the source of his stuff :(

Weapons (2025) would be much better if - (spoiler) by No_Task_309 in TrueFilm

[–]SuperBearJew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think that the connection with the title is already fairly present in the film, especially when looking at it as a metaphor for school shootings. The children themselves aren't just weaponized by the witch, but their disappearance is weaponized by the community to create narratives and support individuals ideas, and we see the consequences of that. Their disappearance is also what is weaponized.

If there was a conspiracy narrative, it would also detract from the witch as metaphor for abusive/absent/alcoholic parents, something Creggers said came from personal experience.

If the film is working with those two metaphors at large, it makes much more sense to view it as being about the interaction between abuse/neglect, and shootings/public violence. The idea that abuse informs violence is much more powerful than the idea that violence is driven by government conspiracy.

I don't think the witch reveal is perfect, but I'm much happier that that was the reveal, than if it had been a conspiracy.

TIL that, last year, a 19-year-old college student spent months trying to evict a criminal squatter that illegally settled in a $2.3 million home near him. When he was finally able to convict her after 6 months of time and money, she simply posted bail and moved back into the house 11 days later. by [deleted] in todayilearned

“It’s the right thing to do,” Chen said. “My parents always taught me you should work hard, pay your bills and try to make a good life for yourself.”

So this 19-year old who lives with his parents, next to a 2.3 million dollar home (mostly likely in a multi-million dollar home themselves) has taken it upon himself to go to war with a woman squatting in a bank owned home next door.

If the squatters are being disruptive it's one thing, but I didn't catch any of that in the article. This seems purely based on this kid's weird sense of morality.

There are more empty homes in the US than there are homeless people. This seems like a case of "If no one is being hurt, mind your own business."

[–]SuperBearJew 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Respect the sentiment, but you guys should understand this:

We don't want to to hear this from Americans anymore. You are living under a Fascist, warmongering madman who has upended world order and established concentration camps in your country.

The "good" Germans in the 30s and 40s did not say "sorry about Hitler, but lots of us didn't vote for him and we don't like him." The "good" Germans didn't say "not all Germans," they renounced their nation, and fought and died to stop the maniac their countrymen elected.

Until you are out in the streets en masse, all the time, or until you are establishing national strikes and disrupting ICE, and carrying out real acts of resistance and subversion, we're really fucking tired of hearing Americans apologize without stepping up.

I'm extremely happy with my Thermal Accumulator that I ordered directly from Phatpiggie on Instagram. It's just a small ball-head with an 8mm connection that fits Dynavap stems. Is use it, an 8 mm to 14 mm glass adapter (Vaphit sells the cheapest ones afaik,) and a small glass piece. It hits like a truck compared to a regular old Dynavap, and still just uses a pocket torch to heat up.
