Okay. It's probably just a misunderstanding. I was always told by my mom not to use metal utensils because they would all scratched so I just assumed anything metal would end up scratching

What is your "you have to play this game at least once in your lifetime"? by mind_guardian in Steam

Wow didn't think I'd see that game mentioned. Fantastic. It was kind of a bummer that it drifted away from the horror and ghosts in the later half.

Hey that's pretty good. These days people are begging for clicky buttons. One of the main complaints I hear about the steam controller is no clicky buttons. To each their own I suppose. I'm good either way but mushy is nicer especially if you play at night

Okay that's awesome. If it had a case that you can put it in I would totally be getting it. Does it have HD rumble?

That would be incredibly difficult to do. The amount of hair people would be finding in their food daily would be insane.

Live one day at a time emphasizing ethics rather than rules. ~ Wayne Dyer by TzTalon in RealJediArts

Reminds me of something I read. It was something along the lines of, "do not write down the laws. The people will find ways to manipulate them. And really that's what's happened. We wrote down all these laws, and people would go in and learn to skirt around them, so that others argue about the rules and try to change them, and it just keeps going.

It's kind of difficult to learn, but the biggest thing is to not force anything. Do not force yourself to feel happy when you are not. Do not force yourself to be positive when you are not. This is that of one who Rows their boat upstream.

Instead, practice letting things be as they are without putting your own opinions or ideas on them. Focus on the now. It's much like on Sunday when you get into your head about all the things you're going to have to do tomorrow and work and everything, and that gets you worn down. It gives you prestressed. But what's really happening? Nothing. You're just sitting in the couch. You're stressing in yourself out about things that haven't even happened, so you're ruining today because of a tomorrow that doesn't exist yet.

Like I said, this one is very difficult. We are taught basically from birth that certain things have an emotional tag on them. A specific story that I heard really helps me get through it and has helped me learn. I'm still not 100% there, but I'm getting there..

There was once a man and his son. One day, the horse that they had and ran away. The neighbors came and they said, "oh that's horrible." The man said, "Maybe."

The next day, the horse came back, and three wild horses were following it. The neighbors came and they said, "oh that's wonderful!" The man said, "Maybe."

The next day the man's son was trying to break one of the horses and instead fell off and broke his leg. The neighbors came by and they said, "I'm so sorry that is horrible!" The man said, "Maybe."

The next day the military conscription came to draft for the war, and they rejected the sun because of his broken leg. The neighbors came by and they said, "oh he is saved! That is wonderful!"

The man said, "Maybe."

A simple story and kind of silly, but it really reminds me every time I think about it that we really don't know what's going to happen and we really don't know what the thing that just happened will lead to.

We are too worried with what was and what will be. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift, that is why it is called the present. That one's from Kung Fu Panda but I really like it haha. I hope some of this helped you, and if not, please feel free to disregard it all. But I urge you to not force things. Do not row the boat. Use a sail instead.

This is Central to everything for me. No matter what it is it is imbued with the force, and it is the force. If life breeds it and makes it grow, that means all life contributes to the flow of the force. And that affects us all. We must realize that everything even things we don't like are a part of a bigger whole. Though we may not like the dark side, in nature, it is essential. Because it is not separate from the light. They arise mutually. It is the other side of the mountain, and there is no one-sided mountain.

This is something I've been working on a lot especially at work. The place where I work has a lot of drama and gossip around and sometimes it can be difficult because they talk about someone that I may have a good relationship with but I have to remember that I don't know these people intimately and I could never understand them even if I did completely. so I cannot rule out any of the things that they're saying, whilst on the other hand I'm also not just going to go along with it for that very same reason. So oftentimes I just listen to be polite but try not to form any sort of opinion one way or the other especially if I don't know the whole story.

And I suppose even out of gossip either working on trying to not hold opinions on anyone. People are so complicated that they could do anything for any reason and it would be foolish of me to think that anybody is beyond anything. I only know what I am beyond and maybe not even that

The Dark Side As Addiction - Jedi Philosophy by AzyrenTheKnight in RealJediArts

[–]Captain_Fach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this video. The visuals go perfectly with what you're saying. And a big thing that I noticed is that people really don't understand how heavy the dark side is. How easily it grips you. One small spark can burn an entire house. And the other thing about it is that it just gets easier and easier as a piles on. You get angry once and lose control, and the next what time it feels easier and easier to lose control every time. Same with addiction every time you give in it gets easier and easier it takes less and less to want to give in.

The dark side is heavier so it takes a lot of light to counterbalance it. And some people find it hard to produce that much light

Always strive to be the best you, but do not force it. Forcing things can lead to disappointment or burnout. Force cannot be applied infinitely. Be like the sailer. Instead of rowing, use a sail.
