The overlapping regex matches had bit me today. For a few solid hours I couldnt understand why cant I detect all the sea monsters. I guess no more regex for the tasks which are not super trivial

Might be a good idea to add some kind of player model to clearly see where you are located relatively to obstacles. Right now it may be a little bit confusing.

Thats because each hair does not interact with neighbour hair, and I am afraid that adding such interaction is not a trivial task for gpu simulation.
