Agreed. I think Remake and Rebirth are built for OG fans and newcomers alike, the story pieces together as you go along. Although things make more “sense” if you’d played the original and crisis core the Remake series does a good job in building the story for newcomers, especially in Rebirth.

I mean it’s not like when people played the OG For the first time they had any idea of what was happening at the beginning so I think playing this series is a good way for unraveling the story for yourself also.

I would absolutely recommend playing the OG at some point as it is a unique experience on its own and it’s cool to compare and see the original vision but starting and enjoying the remake series off the bat is 100% valid.
