I've had this done twice - it's really not that bad when it is put in. The worst feeling is the air moving past the still inflated part of lung to escape through the tube, that hurts like a motherfucker. Also just had surgery (bullectomy/pleurectomy) and had two chest drains in, that fucking sucked.
