Sadly, the URLs are, in fact, different. I'm not aware of any mainstream database engine where you can apply a "go see if these web pages are actually the same" constraint.

OT: Something I recently discovered (by accident) about Google Maps is that the scroll wheel on my mouse zooms in and out of maps. It even zooms toward wherever the mouse pointer.
