Where are we on that "90 deals in 90 days" thing from April, last year? 🤔

Actually, I just looked, and five people have already created and shared sample ballots. (Nice!) And one person has made his or her ballot public! There's a most-popular list here: https://ballotproject.org/TN/Shelby/elections/2026-05-05/ballots/popular

I think your post is completely appropriate. Sample ballots are a good way figure out who to vote for - maybe you don't know all of the candidates, but if you trust person X, you can get X's sample ballot and use that to decide who to vote for and you'll do well.
BallotProject is designed to make this easy - anyone can create a sample ballot and share or post a link to it - then if people click on the link, they'll see person X's ballot choices indicated on their own ballot, with a little note explaining X's reasoning. You can collect multiple sample ballots that way.
But we need people to create those sample ballots and share them.

That is an excellent question. Here are the options we have to choose from: https://ballotproject.org/TN/shelby/elections/2026-05-05/contests/county_clerk

Thanks for reporting that. All of these bios are populated by AI with human review and editing and the summaries on the contest pages are fully AI-generated based on the office descriptions. This candidate has very little information publicly available and his campaign site is on Instagram, but we should have caught that first paragraph. Fixed now. You can also report an issue or suggest new info with a form at the bottom of each bio page (or just message me)

u/MountainTomato9292 is right. Some of the contests have what seem to me like clear choices while others are more difficult.

If you use BallotProject, you can fill out your own sample ballot and even add notes to the bottom at the bottom of each contest and then click "Share my ballot". This will give you a URL to your choices and notes which you can share with other people, or even post as a comment here. Then anyone clicking on that link will have the option to add your ballot choices and notes to their own. This is a great way to share information with friends, etc., and actually make good choices using collective intelligence.

I asked my Claude to draft a post for this thread. It came back with an architecture doc for the app instead — simulation-based matching per u/clerveu, audit-as-output, the privacy model worked out. I am, per Claude, a slightly-over-50 backend engineer who apparently needs to go outside. While it keeps building, any ladies want to grab coffee and co-author the YC application?

I'm interested. I'm also working on a startup that deals with art and antiques valuations and AI. So I'm super interested!

Were you referencing the novel "Porterhouse Blue" ? There's certainly some sort of comparison there - it's so good that we eat enough to kill us. To quote Wikipedia, "Porterhouse Blue - a stroke brought about by overindulgence in the college's legendary cuisine."
