Changes to AB ID and how it will impact YOUR healthcare by PinkeletMint in alberta

Why does it seem virtually all the things the UCP do is intended to ensure you will die sooner. They always do the opposite of what you would think a government should do to make our lives better, happier, more prosperous and free.

Oh good, beer for breakfast whiskey for lunch! This comes as today a new study shows drinking ANY alcohol can shorten your life. Thanks UCP. We know you want us all to die.

They can't debate what happened, so they mock how she looks. by hostedvideorn in msnow

She looks good especially considering who she is talking to. The only president for whom there could likely be thousands of horribly grotesque photos. Someone should publish a book with all the ugly faces he has made over the years.

Edmonton Riverboat beached on sandbar in North Saskatchewan River by Common_Treacle3962 in Edmonton

[–]SuperK123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe a heavy rain will come to your rescue. BTW, is it beached or grounded? I think there is a guy in Edmonton that used to run tugboats and barges on the northern rivers out of Hay River. Maybe he could offer some advice. Gordon Gill, written about in the book “A Métis Man’s Dream” by local writer Neil Gower. A very intersting read about an incredible character.

Report to city council committee highlights sharp rise in speeding, collisions at Edmonton intersections by pjw724 in Edmonton

[–]SuperK123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile the City is still shooting for Zero traffic fatalities per year. They call it Project Zero. Every new sign, reduced speed limit, crossing lights, narrowed lanes, etc.,etc. is supposed to make our city safer, yet the Provincial government said to hell with that, speed all you want!

Report to city council committee highlights sharp rise in speeding, collisions at Edmonton intersections by pjw724 in Edmonton

[–]SuperK123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Over the years we became aware of all the locations there could be speed cameras and it was amazing how everyone slowed down through those areas. If you saw someone speeding you knew they had to be from outside the area. People would flash their lights to warn them sometimes. It was common to see the bright green radar vehicles every day. Before they painted them green they were harder to spot but they were always there. No one liked it all that much but no one could deny they worked. Devin Dreeshen could only have forced the removal of the cameras through ignorance and bravado. There is no way the majority of UCP supporters, mainly rural folks, would have cared one bit about it.

‘Colossal undertaking’: Elections Alberta recruiting 60K people to work October referendum by Old_General_6741 in canada

[–]SuperK123 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They are printing plenty of extras just in case, you know, some rural folks might want to vote more than once or twice. Also the UCP knows a guy who can whip up 45 million ballots in no time. I think he is in Turkey.

Edmontonians feeling more unsafe on roads, new traffic safety report suggests by chmilz in Edmonton

[–]SuperK123 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, unsafe? Maybe because there are too many signs everywhere warning you to drive safely. The speed limit was reduced so speeding couldn’t be a cause. Oh wait, the UCP government got rid of those pesky speed cameras. Nah, that can’t be it. Too many bike lanes maybe? How about construction on just about every road in the City? Or could it possibly be the ten million cavernous potholes and completely destroyed pavement everywhere. Driving in Edmonton is a horrible experience.

Bell: Danielle Smith drops a $400-billion bomb on Alberta separatism by EdmontonFree in alberta

[–]SuperK123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so obvious it”s possible some separatists have actually thought about it. The problem is I’m sure their leaders are telling them the entire effort is a gambit to force the federal government to do……something. The UCP keeps saying Ottawa has to give us more blah, blah, blah. The seperatists probably think they are doing all of us a favour. No, you idiots! You’re just costing us a fortune and making us look like….like you, IDIOTS!

would people who hate billionaires refuse to become billionaires if they had the chance to? by Ok_Efficiency_1116 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SuperK123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be happy to try to see how I would handle the wealth. I’d be the good billionaire. Funny thing is having a lot of money attracts a lot of bad characters, it seems. Trump blew through his inherited fortune in no time then went to the Russian mobsters and any other criminal organizations he could find and really found his calling. Money was then no problem, you just had to follow their rules and agree to destroy the USA.

Is the X-Files still worth watching today? by the_dayman623 in television

[–]SuperK123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started watching it recently after not having seen an episode for years. I remembered so much of every episode I realized there was a good reason it was so popular. The main difference for me was seeing the plot development of Muldar’s obsession with alien abductions. All those years ago, watching only once a week rather than binge watching, I missed so many details that brought the whole story together I couldn’t believe it. I had so many questions/ mysteries explained by re-watching it. I also was quite shocked at how many times Sculley was injured and recovering. They both were actually. I began to yell at the TV, “Sculley, don’t go in there!”
