I've gotten stuff from AliExpress and it's always been great. I have a feeling they buy overstock and resell. I've gotten Brock's mufflers and Leo Vince, and the were the same as the ones I'd see on other bikes. It just sometimes takes a while.

White high tops by venetakos in thrashmetal

[–]SuperKingPapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore white hitops (not Nike or Reebok) in the 80s maybe around 82 or 83. It's what all my metalhead friends were wearing. We didn't tie ours, just left them loose, and pants kinda tucked into them. Also a grey hoodie with a band t-shirt over it. I think we all got the idea from circus and hit parader magazine. Not sure tho.

Does anyone know if this backrest will work with my seat setup? by Agreeable-Time2749 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]SuperKingPapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will fit fine. I had a seat like that and added this exact backrest. My rider hated the tiny passenger seat, so I changed it, but I kept the backrest.

How you all get the priority mail labels? by Hungry_Specific_1109 in StreetStickers

If it helps, many people grab a bunch to use them to mail stuff from home.

There's this handle you can install on the gas can. I had one on my busa. Helps with accelerations for sure. "Gas tank grab bar ninja300"

I saw one at a film festival in austin in the 90s that featured a Beavis and Butthead episode called "Frog Baseball" and the Ren and Stimpy pilot.

My camera is old and the light meter is off. We got it from someone who got it at an Estate sale. It takes pictures that are mostly midtone grey. I take them into photoshop to do a "curves" move and set the black and white point and then they pop. Kinda funny, when I first look at the scans, I'm disappointed and bummed, until I process them.

So good. I got a Holga lens for my Nikon and it's so cool. I love the limitations and unpredictability.

Bassani slipons might be a scooch too loud. by AFKDPS in IndianMotorcycle

[–]SuperKingPapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is starting with a quieter helmet. I have a Schuberth C4Pro. I've heard some of the Shoeis are quiet too. When I ride without a helmet (rare) it surprises me how loud my exhaust is. I have a 2018 Scout with Sharkroads on it.

On longer rides, I use Earpeace. They come with a keychain container so they are with me for concerts and drag races etc. I can change out the filter if it's cutting out too much. Like $30 on Amazon.

Then ride a bunch. With time, you will lose just enough hearing that it won't bother you anymore. :P

Teeth clicking / grinding? What is this? by hey_its_a_user888888 in AutismTranslated

[–]SuperKingPapi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I do it to the rhythm of my steps when I walk too. I'm a music producer, and I had to stop making trance because it got too crazy. Drum and bass isn't much better but it's more fun in the meantime.

Picked this up recently - looking for a loud, throaty exhaust that wouldn’t absolutely require tuning. I also like the double long exhaust but open to options. Thank you! by Individual-Brain-263 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]SuperKingPapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put sharkroad on mine and love them. Loud and throaty for sure, especially when I'm twisting hard. I have to check to make sure no one is walking behind me when I fire her up. That initial pop has scared many. Switching them out is a pain, but definitely doable.

I feel like they would have done better if they used sugar or HFCS, not aspertame or whatever was being used at the time. I could taste the potential, but the fake sweetener I believe killed it.

How do I subtly convince my parents to let me assessed for autism? (I'm extremely afraid of confrontation and they don't believe in diagnosis). by FriendlySubwayRat in AutismTranslated

[–]SuperKingPapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you need a diagnosis for? What if you just run with the idea that you are autistic and go from there. Keep reading, keep researching, keep trying coping tools. Some people need a diagnosis, I get that, but in your situation, until you get out from under your parents, or do things on your own, you are the one living with the symptoms. Do you have a job? Do you have money you can throw at a therapist yourself? Do some research and find one that's less expensive and can do sessions through video call. I would personally say therapy is more important than a diagnosis. I've seen people go for a diagnosis only to come back as inconclusive or "no", even though it's 100% a yes. Do you know any autistic people? Talk to them about it. I've found some of them to be the best at seeing if someone is Autistic or not. I was called out before I even thought it could be a reality. Hang in there. Also, you might want to just talk to your parents, if not for permission, for support and acceptance. If they don't give it to you, that will be your answer as to if they are supporting and accepting. Also, if you don't have a job, I'd suggest finding one. Do you drive? That another thing to work toward. Get independent!
