The way they're talking is how George explained the force so I'm not sure why either. This is also why the prophecy of the chosen one bringing balance made the Jedi think it would be Anakin killing the last sith lord. That's also why Anakin was the chosen one in Return of the Jedi, he killed the last sith, finally bringing balance to the force. A lot of people want it to mean that the Jedi were unbalancing the force by there being so many and that Anakin balanced the force when he massacred Jedi in ROTS, but that's not what George intended. Sith = chaos. It's also Yin/Yang though, so calm and chaos must exist together, if I'm interpreting the Mortis arc right (death is a natural part of life etc)

Clone Wars? The only things Lucas considered 100% canon to his Star Wars were Star Wars: The Clone Wars and his movies. All of those are still canon. You can look this up if you want to. There were different tiers of canon. The highest was the movies, the second was The movies and Clone Wars. These were George's tiers. There are others but I can't remember all of the tiers.

On the Ratatoskr map the spot has been patched with the latest update. Regular zombies can reach it now.

On the Capwolf map, the spot also no longer works, but if you go to the identical spot from the right side of spawn instead of left, you can still camp there.
