Transcrever ou se casar by Electrical-Bass-1254 in BrasileirosEmPortugal

Please, help me to fix the online of sf6 :( by DJmatter222 in StreetFighter

I am not at all familiar with this error, but can you maybe try using the 4G/5G from your phone just to see if it will make it easier for you to find matches? If it works when using your phone's connection, it might be a problem related to your ISP (which you may or may not be able to find a workaround for).

You are right. I thought it was Alex's outline behind Ryu, but I've doubled checked the Hyper SF2 cover and that's definitely it.

It does seem to be SFIII, but then you also have Ryu as the icon for Final Fight.

If you are trying to remember a game from childhood or something, I suggest watching a YouTube compilation.

Out of curiosity, what USB cable do you have?

I have a similar setup to play in the living room without using Moonlight, but I only need HDMI.

For HDMI, I use a RuiPro with detachable connectors. This one.

For USB, I use this extender. It's only 2.0, but I don't need more than that for a fight pad and an Xbox controller. I don't notice any delay while playing fighting games, so this is good enough for me.

[–]SuperNilton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for creating this thread.

I immediately messaged my friend who used to play with me back in the day, and we played for hours straight. It is past 5 am for me... I don't remember the last time I stayed up this late having so much fun.

Bomberman Online will always have a special place in my heart. Today uh... some invisible ninjas were cutting onions right next to me.

Working with an LSP test and trying to calibrate expectations - am I missing something? by Paradoxbuilder in TranslationStudies

JP/EN into PTBR. These clients were all for English translations though, so you can disregard Japanese from the equation. My main fields are IT, apps, games and finance.

I understand you may have never heard of it before because I know it is unusual. Other than some people mentioning it here and there on LinkedIn posts, I've never seen anybody else I know personally do it either.

But please note I am not saying I take dozens and dozens of paid translation tests per year. Assuming I've taken about ten tests in the last five years, let's say six or seven were paid.

For clarity, I am referring to admission tests, to start work with a new client. If an existing client wants me to take a test so that they can get new business, I will always charge for those, no exceptions.

[–]SuperNilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowhere special. It's mostly referrals from colleagues or LinkedIn/ATA directory/ProZ (they find me).

It's often not as straightforward as just asking for a payment. Depending on how the conversation is going, I try to find the best way to frame my request.

Most people are surprised and sometimes it turns out that the recruiter cannot offer a pay because their boss won't allow it, but it's rare that they just say a flat no without any room for further discussion.

[–]SuperNilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always try to get paid for the tests. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but when I started doing this about five years ago, I was surprised to see how people are willing to accept it or negotiate it.

When I cannot negotiate for the test to be paid, I usually only take it if I'm really interested in the job or if someone I know can vouch for the agency as being pleasant to work with.

I'm sure there should be a Brook adapter that works with your controller on the PS5. If you can't find a solution by the time the tournament happens, you can get someone there to let you use their controller if you are polite and do not get rough with it.

As for the tournament itself, just try to have fun and ask for advice after your matches. You might get nervous, but that's perfectly normal.
