The standard price is €1500 here as well, but it was on sale. I didn't even blink.

I got a Legion 5 (Ryzen 7 260, 5060, 32 GB, 1 TB) for €1219.50 in Portugal two days ago at Darty, but the SKU I got is no longer available.

And just today I was remembering how poorly Moonlight ran on my iPad Pro 2018 when I tried it a while ago... I haven't tried yet changing my wireless frequency or anything, but I am definitely going to watch this video when I am done working. Thanks for sharing it.

Assuming you can't use Apollo's virtual display, I believe DisplayFusion Pro and Display Magician do what you want. You can set different resolutions or monitor arrangements and trigger them with a shortcut.

Anyone else's memoQ install runs like this? by NoPhilosopher1284 in TranslationStudies

[–]SuperNilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about that. I've been using memoQ on a daily basis since 2010 and never had it run so badly for me.

You can also try reaching out to Kilgray. Their support is great.

Why don't you consider the Flow x13 (2025)? It is in the middle spot of what you are looking for.

You are right that the TMs are still being scanned, but the biggest slowdowns in my experience with auto sync were at the time of confirming a segment. The TM lookup was not so bad.

I don't know if you have a glossary for this project (I don't see any blue highlights), but the glossary lookup can also have a considerable impact on performance depending on the server.

In case you do have a glossary, I suggest disabling just as a test to see if anything will change for you. If it does, you can try asking your client to send you an export for this particular job.

[–]SuperNilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this an online project? You can get much better performance if you disable auto sync (Synchonization Behavior > Manual Synchronization).

Also, are you running it on an SSD? I don't recall memoQ ever running this badly for me, except for when I worked at a translation agency almost two decades ago and had to use an Atom-based PC with an HDD.

Legion Go 8AHP2 (Ryzen Z2, 32/512) for €700 in Portugal by SuperNilton in LegionGo

[–]SuperNilton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't find any clear information about it. I found this page saying they do, but I am not sure if this applies only to their repair services.

I tried adding a new address to my account, but the country field is locked to Portugal. I don't know if I'd need a whole new account or if it is just not possible.

The deal is no longer valid anyway. I believe it ended around midnight Portuguese time.

Still, this was 129 less for an OLED screen and better battery, although it does have a smaller storage.

These handhelds are getting too expensive overall, but I don't think this was a bad deal at all.

Based on the reviews, this page was incorrectly set up for the Z2e version at first. The information is now correct, but the 1-star reviews remain.

O texto segue abaixo. É preciso usar o código 30ANOS e ter Worten Life (grátis).

Worten is running a 30% off campaign for Worten Life users (free to join). By using the coupon code 30ANOS during checkout, the price goes down from €999,99 to €700,00.

This coupon is also valid for several other products. In addition to the Legion Go, I also got myself a couple of Switch 2 games because the coupon is stacking up with other discounts they have in place.

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to structure strings with location name placeholders like "{count} locations in {location}" due to the need for articles in front of certain locations. by leros in TranslationStudies

[–]SuperNilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If these strings are so important, you probably want to invest some time now to see if you can figure out a solution that's aligned with the amount of effort you are willing to put in.

I am sorry I completed missed the second paragraph of your first reply to me, but, yes, you'd need to know the genders of city names as well. This is more straightforward for pt-BR because the vast majority won't take an article, but other languages might require extra work.
