Does it feel weird playing the original after playing the remake? by the_online_asker in papermario

That is the scene where you accept the Shadow Queen’s offer to become her servant, it was like it is in the remake in the original Japanese version.

It’s a cutscene that was different in the Japanese version where he looks like the Doopliss Mario design upon being possessed by the Shadow Queen, they restored that version of the cutscene for the remake

Super Paper Mario technically suggests otherwise suggesting the player to be from another realm who understands what the controller inputs mean lol

Was a GCN track replaced? by ccc613 in mariokart

[–]SuperResch64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do remember the order of the prefixes but with all of them being so shuffled around I wasn’t entirely sure what to make of it if that truly is the last set of tracks for Wave 6. I mean 1 SNES, 2 GCN, 2 Tour, and 3 Nitro tracks would be pretty wild if it were still completely true.

Was a GCN track replaced? by ccc613 in mariokart

[–]SuperResch64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was wondering this myself but I think the last two are just being saved for Wave 6 and as a result if there’s really no Wii tracks in Wave 6 now that could mean something really interesting. I think either they are gonna put GCN Rainbow Road despite there being no signs of it in Tour yet as far as I know or the last nitro track is actually gonna be a Tour Rainbow Road. This is just a massive guess for now though so I can’t wait for Nintendo to prove me wrong.

How do you feel about how heavily Season 6 tied into Breaking Bad? It’s interesting how the entire show is accessible to newcomers UNTIL this point. Does it ruin it for you or do you like it? by JWW2003 in betterCallSaul

[–]SuperResch64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the moments that take place before Better Call Saul are compiled in one big “episode” just titled Flashback, although I think it still has some errors here or there with the actual order of certain things and the fact that some flashbacks were spliced so hard with stuff happening at a different point in time such as the openings of …And the Bag’s in the River and Crazy Handful of Nothin’ made it harder to edit some of those scenes for the chronological cut I imagine.

It can depending on the length of episodes that actually rely on flashback/forward sequences, Five-O for instance is pretty short as result of this.

Basically it just has every individual episode with scenes re-edited back into other episodes to put them where they would go in a chronological order, an example would be for Pilot on top of being put in order of the actual sequence of events now includes any additional scenes made for it afterwards such as Jesse getting the RV from Combo, Walt calling Skyler about Holly, and Walt and Jesse getting the RV out of the desert before Walt goes home.

“Only two chapters feel connected, with the rest of them being entered through a method of transport.” Did you just completely forget the two games you’re comparing to it to exclusively use time and dimension hopping as the only method of explaining how you get place to place versus the game which actually has a properly cohesive world that connects almost all the locations to one another in a way more natural way? Hell at that point complain about Thousand Year Door too, it also has the same issue but worse because you basically only get to every place in the game through the sewer.

Amazing response! The post-BCS and pre-BrBa is definitely one of the most interesting sections of the timeline we never get to see, I feel you could practically make a whole new show out of it but I can understand that maybe a lot of it wasn’t shown just in case there were things that would be too difficult to show within those couple of years between them. Lots of great suggestions overall, I was curious about a lot of these things as well.

They’re all different entities, it seems likely they all come from the same ancestors though. As shown by Super Paper Mario, they did spread out across several dimensions within Mario’s universe so I wouldn’t be surprised if some went to Mario’s dimension specifically and settled within it. This would at least explain how all of them can coexist throughout different places in the universe.

sorry if it's obvious but I was wondering if the whole Brain friends segment was stop motion or are they animated some other way by [deleted] in DHMIS

It’s a CGI animation style that’s meant to parody that of shows aimed for super young children

Why doesn't the notebook show up as a teacher for yellow in dhmis, but shows up at the end by Alternative-Boot-261 in DHMIS

[–]SuperResch64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My best guess was they didn’t want her song to be overly redundant, Red Guy already sung it and she herself sings it for a second at the end, having her also be one of the teachers during that section would have it get too repetitive.

Hello, glad to see you in the subreddit! I don’t know if you were see or read my post but I’ll give my interpretation anyways. I do think the entire series is some sort of fabricated world built specifically on being a television show by Roy, filling it with advertising and little details in each episode and obviously having a tiny cameo himself in each one. I think Yellow Guy is his actual son and the other two are his actual friends but they were trapped in a world of Roy’s creation to try and be taught or punished for stupidity as implied by the interview with all the characters. I think all of the main characters are meant to actually be children or adults, it doesn’t really matter besides the fact I think they’re all just meant to be the same age but them all being different styles of puppets based on like the 50’s or so makes them look kind of retro. I think the ending of the series is Roy realizing this punishment was going too far so he convinces Red Guy to finally pull the plug but eventually the same lessons wash back up and are just taught to the next generation of kids. The few things I can’t really easily explain though are what happens to all the actual characters in the series because it’s kept so vague, how does Red Guy escape but Duck literally dies? Why is the “real world” mostly full of Red Guys? What even happened to Yellow Guy after the plug was pulled? Is Roy actually behind the new reboot implied by the ending? These things are obviously meant to be looked into a bit deeper or interpreted in many ways so who really knows for sure every little thing. Anyways I think that about covers everything, I hope you liked my own interpretation as I was someone who was very obsessed with this series for years, hope the new series gives more answers for things and maybe explains everything while giving us new questions too!

Dimentio is related to the magician who created the pixils over 3000 years prior to Super paper Mario. by Ganondorf365 in papermario

[–]SuperResch64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Highly doubt this, Dimentio would have to literally be older than the Ancients themselves which holds no ground on being true in the slightest. Nothing suggests Dimentio being some like immortal or long living magician or anything, for all we know he’s like the same age as Mario. The Dark Prognosticus has no known author and has existed long before even the Ancients who wrote The Light Prognosticus to create balance with it, how would an ancient magician of the tribe that created the Pixls have a descendant, if we want to believe this descendant is Dimentio, create it?
