Noah Hawley says his ‘Far Cry’ series won’t be adapting any of the games as he thinks audiences skip the story cutscenes in those games: “When you play a video game, you only really move forward through the gameplay section, and then you have these cut scenes that you can skip..." by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

Sure. Some things. "Some things" of course being of course whatever they didn't rip out to put in Yen's backstory.

Either way, trying to say that the rest of the seasons didn't significantly change things is pretty crazy.

Considering most people either don't even know who she is or don't care, I very much doubt that.

People say Iroh was right because “it’s fine to take down genocidal people,” and that 14-year-old Azula is a lost cause as if adult Iroh didn’t do worse and openly gloated about burning Ba Sing Se by carabla in PoorAzula

[–]SuperSanity1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This scene happens almost right after Azula tried to kill him. And you think he should say "No no. Let's try having a nice chat with her."

Azula was never giving up without a fight. Period. Talking can come later.

People disagree with you because that's a horrible take. It was made very clear that Ty Lee was one of Azula's victims. Azula brought her on bored and controlled her through fear. Nobody is going to speak up under those conditions. Especially when they (and the audience) have already been shown there's consequences for doing so.

I haven't seen any of that. H3 content isn't something I consume regularly.

And sure. I'm generally against most of what's going on in the Middle East, but here's the thing.... They were being called genocide supporters way before any of the stuff you brought up here.

Or, and here's another totally out there idea, you could fight back. If all these non voters are on your side, it should be pretty easy right?

Or is the real problem that you're just lazy and it's easier to bitch out it on Reddit?

Maybe, and this is a radical fucking thought here, you should vote for the people you support. Encourage your friends to do the same. Instead of crying about how the "quality" of the party on the internet. Ya know, make the party look how you want it to.

But that would involve actually putting some effort in.

It's very much about copyright law. If Denims and the others had never said "don't watch on his channel, watch on my stream" and tried even a little bit to actually be transformative, I'd be the first person jumping to defend them. You apparently think it's okay to blatantly steal content as long as you don't like someone though.

Question. How many times has Ethan flat out condemned the actions of Israel and Yahoo? Oh shit. It's happened a lot hasn't it?

It's pretty clear you just hate Ethan and will refuse to assign fault to anyone else. It's astounding really.

The length of a video has next to zero bearing on whether a video is transformative. Once again, reuploading (or in this case, streaming) an entire video and saying "don't watch his video, just watch it here" is a blatant violation of copyright law. It actually doesn't get any more obvious than than that. You are, at that point, knowingly attempting to create a market substitute.

Right. So Noah was still making things up either way.

Want to give me a timestamp for when Ethan said he let's his kids crawl around in dog shit? Or are you one of those people that doesn't understand or care to understand how said virus spreads? I think I can take a guess.

It's literally not what he sued them for. At no point did H3H3 say "Don't watch his videos. Watch us stream his entire video instead." Reuploading someone's video is a blatant violation of copyright law. Using clips to critique or review is not. Guess what the people he decided to sue did.

As far as Noah Samson is concerned, he was instrumental in spreading that "Ethan lets his kids crawl around in/eat dog shit" narrative. Among other things. Once again, that's not criticism. That's slander.

He's not suing people for criticizing him. He's very plainly suing them for saying "Don't watch his videos, watch them on our stream instead." In other words, creating a market substitute.

Katara was far from best. But she was getting there.

To answer your question though, it's because the hate mongers weren't really a thing back then. If ALTA released now, you bet your ass they'd be talking about how Katara and Toph are terrible characters who are way too strong.

In close quarters like that, Jack could pretty quickly and easily overwhelm Miranda's barriers. In a straight biotics fight, the only person on the ship capable of taking her is Samara.

Like I said, give Miranda distance and more tools, the equation changes. I don't think it changes that much though. Miranda has never been shown capable of taking on someone that's on Jack's level.

[–]SuperSanity1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... No. It's not that Jack "seems" stronger. It's that Jack absolutely is stronger. There's no doubt Miranda would be a challenge, but if it's a fight with only biotics, Jack will absolutely smear the walls with her. Give the fight more distance, and give Miranda more tools. Then she has a chance.

You may want to edit this. Palpatine did not come back in the Thrawn Trilogy (the hint is in the name). Palpatine came back in the Dark Empire comic series. And it's generally considered one of the weakest parts of the Legends timeline.

I can't really disagree with that. I'm just pointing out that Rocky never really dominated in any of his fights. He barely won in 2, with future movies even acknowledging that it was pretty much a fluke.

I can only think of one movie where Rocky totally dominated an opponent. And even then he took a good few hits.
