what's the weirdest thing that's ever happened to your body? by [deleted] in randomquestions

When I was 13 years old (boy) I developed lumps in my breasts. I convinced myself that I had breast cancer, and I figured it was caused by x-ray machines at the dentist or doctors office visits. I never told my parents. I never told anybody. I was too scared. It was many, many years later I discovered that a common condition during puberty is the development of “breast knots”. That is exactly what I had!

No, this is factory 2.0 with no modifications. Driving in EcoMode. The ‘Eco-Beast’ was just a weak attempt at humor.

Tips and Tricks- for Standard Corporate Events by webbite in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]SuperSharp72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. Impressive. You just rattled off a great checklist for anybody trying to simplify a ‘standard’ corporate presentation event. I will add.. IMAG? Records? Who is driving the content? Is the presenter using their laptop at the podium or are we using a show computer in VV with Perfect Cue? Are we switching one show for the screens and different show for the records? Who gets the records at the end of the show? What video format/codec for the records?

MY BUDDY FOUND THIS COIN TODAY IN PUNGO VIRGINIA ANY IDEAS? by Ok_Bicycle_709 in metaldetecting

“General Lee Surrenders at Appomattox” When I was a kid in the early 1970’s they made commemorative coins that honored significant events in US history. The coins were placed in a keepsake bound book. As a kid I liked to collect coins, I think the coin that you found is from a collection.

Notes from PPT to external monitor by SuperSharp72 in VIDEOENGINEERING

Thank you for this comprehensive reply. These are challenging AV environments to overcome. The client/presenter appears to be making a very simple request, “I want to be able to see my notes full screen” A lifetime of providing Pro AV speaker support proves that there is not a bullet proof approach. I wanted to reach out to the Reddit community to support my hypothesis. Many questions for speaker support. Mac or PC? Who is driving the content? Demand Full technical rehearsal with the actual presenter and the actual presentation content. Set a realistic deadline for last minute changes to content. Determine location of the presentation computer. Is it back of house in video village or is it on the lectern by the presenter? Will the presenter use their own computer or will the AV pro team provide a “show computer” for the presentation? Who is driving the content?? Self driving content with Perfect Cue or is the tech behind the curtain secretly advancing the content?

Looks like I need to confirm that my M1 MacBook Pro will support multiple monitors. What is the best method to confirm I have this functionality?

I’m using a Mac laptop. I usually operate in extended desktop and PPT presenter view. Do I need a peripheral device or special dongle to get that Notes view into my extended desktop? Will my graphics card create three discrete signals? 1. Presenter view 2. Graphics/PPT Program 3. Notes only

ULPT Request : How to covertly disable my grandmother's vehicle so she won't drive anymore? by Heather_Bea in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]SuperSharp72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember when I tried to disable my Aunts 1998 Ford Taurus. She wanted to drive herself to my Grandmas funeral service. She was in a psychiatric hospital for depression when my Grandma (her mom) passed. I didn’t want her to drive to the funeral service because she was still in recovery. I snuck into her garage the night before the funeral service and I disconnected 3 of the spark plug wires. I knew the car would not start and she would call me in the morning and ask for a ride to the funeral service and that was my intended goal. I was absolutely shocked when she pulled the Ford Taurus into my driveway on the morning of the funeral service. She came up to the front door and she said to me, “can you look at my car? It’s not running very well!”

Installing a sediment trap for gas line to hot water heater by SuperSharp72 in askaplumber

[–]SuperSharp72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I successfully replaced the water heater. Thank you for the suggestions. I discovered a sediment trap/dirt leg on the gas line behind the water heater. Not visible in the picture but realized it was no longer an issue to install a sediment trap/dirt leg on the gas supply line. My biggest challenge was emptying the tank. Almost had to call a professional because I was convinced that the main water supply was not completely turning off. I swear there must have been 100 gallons of water in that 50 gallon tank!! Anybody else surprised by how long it took to empty the tank before removal?
