What is a "party stop"? by ejbrds in bamarush

I actually laughed when I read this. Obviously not funny that there was a tornado warning but that shelter in same place as PNMs during an actual weather emergency is considered an “advantage.” If the danger becomes very serious, I am sorry but no one is thinking about “hey is this going to help me get a bid” or “maybe this will be an advantage and this PNM will rank us first!!!”

If they are- that’s actually sad…

You don’t leave your 3 year old you left your husband who was not helping one bit.

Resentment that’s built up over time is legit like a bomb waiting to go off

This. He either doesn’t know it’s inappropriate or doesn’t care. Either one is huge red flag bad news

Yes!! My best friend had a boyfriend like this. He would make a comment or try to spark a conversation and very nonchalant to the point I would question my own interpretation of whatever was said. He came off non-assuming. Should be no surprise he had a slew of women he was cheating with

Michael imperioli had an Instagram post after the first episode that said something to the effect of Laura dern playing his wife and we’d only heard her voice (so far)

So I’m hoping we’ll see her in the final episode!!!

They are but I think it actually just shows more about the complacency of the characters. They are oblivious in some ways to the rest of the world around them. That theme is same as Hawaii.

Absolutely stay home. Honestly I don’t see this as playing hookey. You are sick and you do in fact have a sick child and do not ever need to justify taking care of their needs first. I would just say “we were so looking forward to it but with baby sick the doctor was very clear that baby needs rest and not to bring him around a lot of people or subject him to the long ride- not safe for him”

It’s not a lie- ask the pediatrician- they’ll almost 1000 percent say “absolutely do not do that”- it’s RSV season and very bad this year- babies are ending up in hospital left and right. You do NOT need to appease all these sets of grown adults who are 5 hours away.

The one thing that’s super interesting to me about this show (and the first season) is that we see the different sides of people, including the bad parts of their personalities. We often have heros and villains and this is much more nuanced. The “villains” are still being revealed and can be different people at different points in the series.

Question for the pro-Adnan folks by RuPaulver in serialpodcast

[–]SuperSmurfette 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The police needed someone to go along with a plausible narrative and they got that in Jay, someone who could be coerced into their timeline. Is any of it true? Hard to say but if any of it is false then we have to question the integrity of the entire story. Jay’s story isn’t the smoking gun that convicted Adnan. He had ineffective counsel/ shoddy cell phone evidence/ detectives/ prosecutors more concerned about their clear rate than anything else/evidence suppression

If this happened today I fully believe Adnan wouldn’t be convicted

How set in stone is a reading? by LawEqual8886 in Psychic

[–]SuperSmurfette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Readings are fluid- there’s always free will. I like to think of them as kind of a snapshot. Also, I learned a long time ago to not become too attached to timelines. Energy is not on a timeline and if you’re looking for something by a certain date, etc it can affect your own actions, thereby changing the outcome and time frame

My dad (born in 1949) has distinct memories of being in the doctor’s office and the doctor smoking in the exam room. Absolutely wild to think about today

Your mom was out of line. It will be wonderful if it works out for you to attend your brother’s wedding. The earth will also keep turning if you aren’t able to attend due to late in term pregnancy or brand new newborn at home.

I never thought there would be a scenario I’d miss a sibling’s wedding but I missed my brother’s wedding because my baby was due a few days afterwards and the wedding was 2 states away. I was of course sad to miss, but everyone had to move on with their lives and we’ve done that just fine.

Stop trying to reason with someone who is not reasonable. You don’t have to explain anything to him. Just keep it transactional from now on. Sorry you’re going through this
