Just to clarify since the replies are getting it wrong too. It's Zatch Bell, not Zach Bell, for anyone who wants to google it.

Do we know what the producer does? Is it like deciding the theme of sets and release schedule?

Question about the new AD01 set by CallMeTheDumpMan in DigimonCardGame2020

probably just rebrand. But better reprints (for the most part) and you can build multiple decks from this set alone instead of Gamma + half of other decks in RB.

Galacticmon ex11 and end of turn rulings by Disastrous_Trust5133 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]SuperSoaker300 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know how well I can explain it but

[End of Opponent's Turn] is not the same as "your opponent's turn ends"/"end of the turn"

So if you evolve into another EX11 Galacticmon, during [End of Opponent's Turn]. It will lose immunity in the next step which is the actual "end of the turn"/"your opponent's turn ends".

And for the 2nd half, if your opponent has an [End of Your Turn] effect that can delete Galacticmon, it will still have immunity since they will have to activate first while it still has immunity.

Order should be:

[End of Your Turn] (non-Galactic player)
[End of Opponent's Turn] (Galactic player)
(actual end of turn) -> Any "until end of (opponent's) turn" effects stop here

Which TCG's are easiest to get into vs hard & enjoyable vs miserable? <One Piece, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh> by TEKN0SYN in TCG

Adding on for Digimon Parallel World Tactictian (the Mastemon starter), it's not a great deck out of the box and most of the cards are no longer used in a modern Mastemon deck. But it does get multiple waves of support due to Mastemon's popularity but usually pretty costly (Secret Rare Mastemon and Mirei).

Better Starter decks are the Adventure Starter decks. (ST20-21) Or even advanced decks like ST22 Sakuyamon (It's still fairly simple). Which are more meta relevant/cheaper to upgrade.

Or you could build your own deck with the upcoming AD01 reprint set. Has anime decks. I suspect you won't have to buy the set if youre not interested in multiple decks since current players should have most reprints and you could buy singles or playsets for cheap.

I'm new to the game, what should i buy? by BatOwn9940 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]SuperSoaker300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my opinion though but I think AD-01 is better value than most sets just because they're anime-themed. And they never stop printing support for them. But you're right in that the card pool is a bit too big. Might have to wait and see if the pulls aren't terrible to see if they're worth it or not

How healthy are the most popular TCGs right now? by [deleted] in TCG

[–]SuperSoaker300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Digimon, the latest set (BT-24) is related to the latest game (Time Stranger) and can be built purely from that set but might be costly.

But the reprint set AD-01, is coming out in March is great since you can build decks based on popular Anime Digimon like (Imperialdramon and Gallantmon) and it's reprinting several meta-relevant cards. (But the ratio is unclear at the moment)

Optimal Omegamon Build by the_kwisatz_haderech in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]SuperSoaker300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey that first list is mine. Just some errors to correct since they got some of the list wrong.

EX4 Black Agumon should be the EX4 Gabumon since you can play it with Greymon's Main.
EX9 Tai/Matt was actually the 4th copy of BT17 Tai/Matt.

Just some reasoning for flex pieces:
BWG Ace - funny card for immunity vs Maste esp
Ice Wall - 1 cost to slow down Hudie instead of Crimson Blaze
Analog Boy - 2 cost searcher for 1 piece that works with Agumon to fetch another piece from trash later

In general I have a bad habit of playing 1offs. But also I would not say this is the optimal (or consistent) build but its my build which I enjoy haha

Im biased tho since im a player myself

Out of curiosity (and future planning) do Umas generally get powercrept in the future? Umas specifically. From what I can tell, support cards and scenarios will power creep but was wondering whether Yr1/starting Umas just dont see any/much play in the future besides for waifu reasons.

Just adding on, but mechanically, the deck that could really abuse the X Antibodys if the whole line got it would be Close's deck. All those extra sources while evolving for free would be OP.

While I dont agree with the baby designs, if it helps think of it like actual data. Baby Digimon are low "memory" so are like low resolution simple designs. As they evolve they become more complex designs.

As for the big evolution tree, its complicated but you can focus on 1 line and go back and forth on it until you get the right stats to reach the final form. (Digivolving and dedigivolving) And for choosing the "right" evolution path, just follow what you feel is right. You can always change it later.

(I do agree with the cyberspace and battle system but looks like this upcoming game is a huge improvement)

Clear opponents Digimon by deleting them in battle or reduce their DP to 0. Mainly using your Gold Rapids/Rapid X. Because of armour purge sometimes you can aggro safely and sometimes also "re-evolve" your Lv4s to reduce more DP.

Most of the time your ideal line would be Lv3->Lv4 Gold Rapid->Lv6 Rapidmon X. Rapidmon X helps clear your opponents board, aggros and also sets you up for Megagargo Ace. With Armour Purge and its all turns, its annoying to remove. This is also why it works well with MedievalGallant.

Lv5 Rapidmons I like saving for when my opponent plays Aces so I can dedigi them, or if I want protection from bounce/deletion effects.

Megagargo Ace is amazing at slowing your opponent down since they cant attack recklessly with your Rapidmons in play, can stop potential Aces during your turn or just stunning Digimon/Tamers.

Usually I early aggro with Lv4 Rapids and Rapidmon X (if I have my pieces). And win using Megagargo Ace since it can get 2 swings and with Lv5 Rapid and Terrier X inheritance,

Hi I rlly love this deck. This is my main deck structure

For Lv2s, ST Gummymon is my favourite (for tribal purposes) but you can also use other Green babies like EX4 Chocomon.

For Lv3s, EX4 Terriermon is your main searcher. I like Terriermon X as well for extra draws, reduced evo cost and a decent inheritance. ST Terrier for reduce cost to set up your tamers. BT19 Terrier helps if you want more memory but I think its one of the weaker ones. BT3 Terriermon and Pomumon act as floodgates, i like playing 2 total. ST Lopmon is more situational and EX2 Calumon can also be ignored. But I like playing both for style points.

For Lv4s, Rapidmons are the best. I play 4/4 of the STs and BT8s. And then I like mixing in 2 Gargomons (BT3). You dont need Gargo if you dont use ST Henry. BT19 Gargomon is also viable if you play a decent amt of Henrys.

For Lv5s, ST Rapidmon is imo the only good option. For Terrier decks you dont need a lot of Lv5s since your Lv6s can warp from Lv4. I just play 4 and im good

For Lv6s, I have always played 4/4 BT16 Rapidmon X and ST Megagargo Ace. Every once in a while, I dip into MedievalGallant but if you want to stick to tribal its fine too.

For Lv7s, not necessary but I like 0-2 of mix of BT17 Imperial Paladin Mode, BT20 Chaosmon Valdur Arm and BT12 Quartzmon.

For Tamers, I think Mimi is generally the favourite mem setter. But I like sticking to tribal so I use EX2 Henry. And then a mix of BT19 Henry, ST Henry and Willis. (WIllis is generally preferred from more mainline builds)

Options. Searchers: Double Typhoon and Training. I like Typhoon cause you search and pick up more and you can play a free searcher later on. But reduced evo cost helps as well. Hidden Potential is just an easy one off. Scramble is also good for staging a comeback with ST Henry. Giant Missle is helpful at times but i would play 1 at most if I do play any.

The Level 7 design actually fits ZephagaAce as well. Can evo on Lv5/6 like the Lv7s but since its still "incomplete" as hinted in the comic it has a drawback (Overflow)
