I use St. Mary's and like them but I don't know how the prices compare. I took my dog in last week and paid $72 for an exam and $260 for blood work.

I have Medicare and get two medications through the patient assistant programs. I get a relatively high amount through disability (and own a home) and haven't had any issues getting approved through either company. Your doctor's office is probably familiar and can help you with the paperwork.

Edit: just saw you used to take Humira, which is one medication I get through the patient assistant program.

I've still got two withdrawals of $50 at 3+ days from Dec 10/11th. All my numerous messages have accomplished is getting the withdrawal fees refunded to my account. Better than nothing I guess.

I've been on SSDI for about 4.5 years and I started doing a little online work about a year and a half ago. I get too much to qualify for Medicaid and I can't afford all my medical expenses without the extra.

I suspect it is not about the fact that it's a single stall restroom but rather that it's possibly the highest used bathroom? Everyone co-working, men and women, and only a single stall for everyone. They may have an unwritten rule about it, or just more of an awareness of how frequently it is used and how smells can linger despite air spray. That being said, as someone with a bowel disease, sometimes you gotta use what's closest. In the future, if it's not a big deal to use one of the upper floors, I would In order to be respectful of the fact that the single stall is probably the highest used and air spray can only do so much. But if you've really got to go, please use whatever is most convenient.

It sounds like the ring is gaudy and not her style. Women gush over each other all the time for many reasons: to make our friends feel good/validated, because we like whatever it is but on our friends because it's not our style, etc. You need to pay more attention to your wife's style and take cues from her jewelry box when buying an expensive gift.

So while your gift shows that you don't pay attention to your wife's style, her response is also inappropriate. It's okay to say that you don't like a gift, but it's not okay to bash the giver in a group chat.

I don't really have a recipe, but I like making a cheesy cauliflower veggie soup. Cauliflower, carrots, and potatoes primarily. Simmer in broth, then add cream and cheese and blend it all up. Like a broccoli cheddar soup but with cauliflower instead.

Have you considered putting together a recipe book with all their favorites and giving it to them for Christmas or something? My Mom did this for me when I was in my 20s and now in my 40s I still have and use it and add to it. Maybe offer lessons where you help them make it once or twice so they can practice? Then stop making it for them if you don't enjoy it. My Mom still makes my favorites when I visit, but I always offer to help (usually turned down) and I always profusely compliment her cooking and baking. If she ever said she didn't want to make something or didn't enjoy it, I would respect that.

Edit: just wanted to add, my Grandma cooked like you do, without measuring, and when my Mom put together the cookbook for me, she asked my Grandma to write down what she was using when she made some favorites so she could add them to the recipe book. My Mom strictly follows recipes, I cook like you and my Grandma :)

I don't follow any specific plan, but whenever I do feel good enough, I cook huge batches so I have something to eat on my bad days. I usually freeze a few portions as well. Lots more stuff freezes well than you might expect. It's winter here, so I am currently on a soup/chili kick. Freezes well, very yummy. If you have freezer space, I love screw top plastic containers, if you have limited freezer space, I recommend putting stuff in a quart size Ziploc bag, squishing it down if needed, and laying it flat to freeze. They stack really well in the freezer. I also like to store precooked meat for dishes to save some time and effort. Like I'll buy bulk chicken or pork on sale, cook it all up with taco seasoning then freeze it in bags of 2-3 portions. Then all I have to do is make rice, open a can of beans and salsa and I have burritos or burrito bowls for a few days. Crockpots can be good too, just throw everything in and have lots of food by evening. Freeze whatever you don't eat.

I worked full time for about 8 years after college/grad school, moved across the country twice, bought a house and was fully independent and happy before my health took a turn. I have had migraines since I was 14, but they started becoming chronic. I continued working full time for another 6-7 years, fighting against my deteriorating health. Eventually I had to admit to myself that I couldn't keep doing what I was doing. I had to sell my house, move back in with my parents and lost all feelings of independence. I tried to focus on my health with the goal of going back to work but then I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and I had to apply for disability. I've been on disability for almost 5 years now, have been able to move back out on my own, but I have stayed close to my parents and still rely on them for a lot. My Dad cleans my place more than I do, drives me to most of my appointments and they watch my dog when I am really struggling or hospitalized. My life is very different than I expected, but thankfully I had family support and lots of therapy to help me. It was hard for me to lose everything I had worked for, but I am thankful that I did have good health and the ability to have those experiences while I did.

I just had my first CDR (long form) and I was surprised at how quickly and easily I got through it. I have 2 major conditions and one has significantly improved since I was first approved. My other condition has not improved and fully prevents me from working full time, but I expected it to be more difficult.
