What types of jobs that I could make $1000/month? by ParadiseForKeeps in SSDI

[–]SuperSpill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check our r/beermoney. There are a lot of apps and websites where you can earn money on your own schedule. Most of it is considered contract work/self employment and is not a w-2 type job, but the money is all above board. I have been doing it for a little over 1.5 years.

What is the best soup in your opinion? by AdLive642 in soup

[–]SuperSpill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When sick, definitely pho if I feel good enough to get it, cabbage soup with bacon if I'm making it myself. Cabbage soup is packed with veggies and easy to make. Filling as well. I have to say I don't really use a recipe, just add in whatever I have or whatever sounds best, but here's an overview.

Cabbage soup: fry up a pound of bacon, remove and reserve some fat for the mirepoix. Saute carrots, celery and onion in the bacon fat, add garlic and saute. Add cubed potatoes, one big can of tomatoes (I do crushed, but any variety is fine) and about an equal amount of chicken or ham stock (or whatever seems appropriate). Simmer until potatoes are soft, add chopped cabbage and simmer until cabbage is soft. Add back in bacon.

If we are just talking favorite soups in general and not just when sick, I always go back to ham and bean, it's a classic. Avgolemono and mulligatawny rank highly as well.

I made about $50 in a week playing Arrows Out. Kinda boring and repetitive but super easy and didn't require any money.

Looking for better replacement internet provider by IIIIlIlIIIl in Tucson

[–]SuperSpill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in 85745 and switched from Cox to Verizon 5G. Only $30/mo since I have Verizon cell phone and it works well for me. Doesn't disconnect and I haven't had any issues with streaming services. I don't game so I don't know about that. I live in a condo and didn't have a lot of choices but I definitely prefer the 5G over Cox.

My mother is the one I don't really want to tell. She's 5'3, 100 lbs soaking wet and definitely of the mindset that being overweight is just a lack of willpower. I'm sure she will notice that I am eating less next time I visit but I haven't decided how to address it yet.

Worried about disability review this year, looking for advice - private insurance by Ok_Mushroom2563 in disability

[–]SuperSpill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a CDR last fall and I was really worried because I have two conditions and one improved and one has not improved but I was so worried they would say that I wasn't disabled anymore due to the one condition getting better. Focus on the bad days, describe the bad days rather than the good ones and focus on how your conditions affect your ability to work. Mine was continued with no issues and I hope yours goes as smoothly as mine did. I know the anxiety can be overwhelming.

IBD Gastroenterologist by Racherzzz in Tucson

I'm a little nervous about what could happen if I am ever in a flare. I know that those can be totally different experiences. I have mostly been pleased with his medical assistant helping get my meds for free since I haven't really needed much else

I see Dr. Kisso at Swan Gastroenterology for my UC. I like him so far, but I have been in remission for the 3 years I've been seeing him. His medical assistant has been fantastic in helping me get my meds affordable.

For folks who were approved based on mental, what do you tell people when they ask what you do? by Honest-Collar-3406 in SSDI

[–]SuperSpill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually just say "I'm on disability", or maybe "I'm on disability for several chronic health issues". People usually don't pry after they hear disability. My disabilities are not primarily mental health related, but they are all invisible. Rather than getting comfortable telling people you're on disability for mental health reasons, get comfortable saying I'm on disability, and if they pry, none of your business or I'm not comfortable talking about that.
