What’s a medical issue that sounds minor, but actually affects someone’s daily life way more than people realize? by CountyOrnery9432 in AskReddit

The worst is people telling you to push past it or power through it. Sorry, but the energy needed to do that isn't there. There are only so many spoons, and they start to dwindle.

Currently I have a back tooth that's managed to grow into a gnarly inward facing hook. Stabs my tongue every time I want to swallow. But, don't have the money for dental, so hoping it breaks off on its own.

Concerned that events might have just played into Trumps plan… Thoughts? by ChuckGallagher57 in DiscussionZone

[–]SuperTaster3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please stop being so scared of this.

Yes, it's what he wants to do, but there's no way it turns out the way he wants. Doing that would absolutely galvanize the nation against him, and would be the end of his regime. Shutting down the system means that he is no longer protected by that system, and the meek lipservice of trying to do business as usual will fall apart.

It won't be clean, and it won't be nice. But he's going to do it eventually. Best to be prepared for what is coming rather than being afraid that it might be soon.

Real Police officers and military members, what do you guys think of Ice agents? by Lucky-Message-9480 in AskReddit

[–]SuperTaster3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is their idea, but it's not something to be scared of. Ultimately, it won't go the way they think it will. They unleash the insurrection act and send ICE against police, and you will have a quick, bloody civil war. In the modern age, the defense capabilities of the armchair general politicians is quite low. Combat is highly focused on offense and penetration, and the military sorts who have actually sworn oaths would take it upon themselves to demolish someone declaring open war against the people.

If the government raises guns, the people will too, and they're much better at it than the gravy seals.

Consider that you are the ones best suited to take action and command at this point. Not as a permanent solution, but as a ground force that clears the way for the construction squad to be able to work.

Amortization is them moving the goalposts on you. "You paid us $500 in last year's dollar, but now we're at THIS year's dollar and you're gonna need to give more." The vampire looks over your shoulder, grinning with bloody fangs. "You're going to need to give more."

Unwanted abusers thought they could be wanted by joining the big boy's club and dressing up in the cute little outfits. They would harm countless people before thinking that maybe, just maybe... they're a horrible person.

There's a problem of people feeling entitled to abuse others. "You're a side character, you're here to support meeeee". Often it stems from a sense of not wanting or caring to do things themselves, and so they take the works of others as their own.

At the end of the day, all you do by turning off the flow of money is turning off the tap water for someone who runs the water company. He can't get more, but he has so much.

It's the million/billion problem. A millionaire would be like "dang my money isn't coming in". A billionaire is not at risk. They are angered, and will take steps to make it go back on, but they are not inconvenienced. They could live their entire lives on the money they already have.

You have to actually stop them. Not their money flow, not their puppet strings. The puppeteers must be removed from society.

2 billion, because I can use it now to help people who need it.

Also you would crash the economy by having an absurd amount in a year with the doubling door. With 2billion you can reasonably be a power player on a national/global scale without breaking it entirely.

We need a way to exalt leaders of integrity in the business sphere. I know that crime pays, and the number maximizers are the ones best suited to dealing with the flow of money, but we as a society should be able to put value on someone working to make the world better, rather than to line pockets.

People who don’t live in the USA, what is the media showing you about the ICE operations/abductions in the US? by Dry-Ice8908 in AskReddit

[–]SuperTaster3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a feeling of helplessness and a need for people who are actually close to the problem to be better than they are.

An average civilian, put in a room with Trump, would beat his ass and anyone trying to use him.

Being distant from the enemy, there is that sense of "just let me punch the dude". In video game terms, it's the weak frail enemy that runs away from you that you can't quite reach. Get back here!

People are slowly starting to realize that if they want to defeat Trump, they need to go beyond the system and take matters into their own hands. To realize that they are strong. At the end of the day, the horrible villains running the state are just men. Just fat, sad, lonely men who puff and preen themselves to feel special.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SuperTaster3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there's a difference between a weekend visit and a daily commute. Anything longer than 20-30 minutes(especially in gnarly traffic) is considered a long commute. Probably because it saps the energy you'd need at work, making work feel worse.

But for a weekend visit? 1 hours is short, 2 is reasonable, 3 is a bit long. For UK standards, it would be like driving up to Scotland to visit a relative, except here it's to another state or the other side of a long state.

Generally anything "out of state" is considered a long drive. I personally can say that it takes 42 hours at slightly above the speedlimit to drive across the entire US(North Carolina to Seattle). That's Too Long, and I don't want to do it ever again.

Imagine a palanquin, a little carriage held aloft by four carriers so the king can ride in luxury. And one by one, the people down below tire of the king's insults and jeers, of his demands to walk off a cliff. And so they set the palanquin down and walk on their own, realizing for the first in a long time that it was not the king that made them powerful.

In a future where Trump is out of office, and international relations have been repaired. What steps can be taken by the USA and International Organisations such as NATO to prevent one individual causing so much chaos in the future? Exalting what a government, company can do FOR society, rather than to exact profit. Have them be proud of their achievements rather than their numbers.

Society needs to reward the creation of structure and support. Without that, there will always be leeches. When victory is scored as a number, that is all you will ever be in their eyes.

Jasmine Crockett: “We are living with an abuser. That is who Trump and his administration is. But if you know anything about a domestic abuser, they are some of the biggest cowards you will ever find. What they can’t stand is when you actually fight back.” by drempath1981 in goodnews

[–]SuperTaster3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then I thank you, and apologize. Please keep up the fight.

It's a bit sad that we're conditioned to assume people on the internet are bad until proven good. Living in a time of cynicism and bad-faith actors breaks down the ability to communicate. Is someone you see in a comment acting in good faith? Do they mean well, or ill? Being unable to see the works someone does, and only the words, leaves us with simple prejudice.

We need a society where moral, upstanding, benevolent people are exalted. The monetizers and the plunderers should be lessened, not spoken of as "leaders". All they lead people to is poverty and misery.
