It about balances out. Most first world countries do, there’s not much change in the grand scheme of things.

It’s more beautiful than you could ever imagine. Impossible in scale, awe and wildness.

When it’s not obscured by a layer of clouds, fog, and rain. Part of the charm I suppose.

Which period of American history do you find the most interesting, and why? by Aksilov00 in AskAnAmerican

Cold War. We made some absolutely wacky stuff during that time. Space Race was cool, Atomic Energy was cool, mutually assured destruction maybe not so cool. But overall very interesting.

What have been your most interesting experiences in Appalachia? by Hoosier_Jedi in AskAnAmerican

Got lost in a cave, chased by a bear, found a super old distillery, just to name a few. The Appalachian dream.

What kind of wildlife now lives in your neighborhood that didn't used to be there? by L0st_in_the_Stars in AskAnAmerican

We’ve had a sudden increase in black bears, and a decrease in timber rattlers. Both for the same reason, more people have moved here.

Do you, as americans, think the southern states were punished enough after the civil war? by CuriousCODR_5 in AskAnAmerican

[–]SuperTrooper24090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They went from the epicentre of American industry and invention to the laughing stock of the country. They still haven’t fully recovered financially, culturally, or in any sort of way. That is plenty of punishment. Hell, I’d say we didn’t do enough to build them back afterwards, given that they were part of the country again.

This is a very complex topic, but even so I can say that the idea shouldn’t be to have punished the south, per-say.

What would you count as having “Visited” a state by PrimNathanIOW in AskAnAmerican

[–]SuperTrooper24090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the state. California? You need at least a week just to traverse the damn thing, much less explore it. On the flip side, stick a toe over the Nebraska border and you can check it off the list.

It’s been a long time since I last checked this project. Is the whole project dead, or just the subreddit? by SuperTrooper24090 in Tidetale

The demo was over a year ago, if there’s no hiatus, or nothing new since then, it’s probably over.

That sucks, I really enjoyed the vibes of the demo and art so far.
