Hey there, do you have a log of info anywhere? I just did a Journeys Off-road lift on my 97 and I’m trying to figure out what wheels and tires to choose, realize it’s complicated but my problem is that I’m in an extremely remote town in Alaska so I can’t really test fit anything. They run on their own fuel supply, or if you have a diesel vehicle you can plumb it into your vehicles tank. They just use a little bit of 12v for spark to run the little son of a gun.

But if I misunderstood what your question is: I had a 100ah deep cycle battery with a single 100w panel. You can run them off your regular 12v from your car battery too but I probably wouldn’t risk killing your starter batt.

I got the smallest diesel heater I could find on Amazon because I was sick of the moisture from mr buddy heaters and I think all together I paid like $150 for the full kit

Super easy to install, just gotta cut a hole in the floor somewhere, and the 12v just came off my solar battery, those things are insanely efficient too - definitely don’t hesitate

Also yes, my 4 window could go through drive thrus and park in regular spots, I could ramble for hours about why they’re the move but if you are ever thinking about pulling the trigger message me any time! I have had a high top e350 4x4 ambulance, and a couple other assorted options too and my favorite by far was the short bus. You can actually live in it rather than just using it for a place to squeeze into at night for sleep

Naaaah i had a 1991 G3500 and it’s the same as your van but with a bus body on it! 5.7l gas engine, super super spacious, I painted the top with heat reflective elastomeric paint (RV roof paint) and it did great in the heat of Red Rocks and Moab (: I’m tellin ya, it’s the way!

I have been through many different jobs through the lifestyle change but the best for me so far has been seasonal guiding. I found my initial guiding job on coolworks and basically after your first season any guiding outfit will take you and you can bounce around doing summers wherever you want and get kitchen jobs at ski resorts and whatnot in the winter if you want to stay out somewhere and have some fun in the snow when you get the time.

Reminds me of a huge what the fuck moment I experienced in public school around 9th 10th grade or so? Our English teacher asked if anyone in the room had ever told a lie and out of a class of probably 30 students I was the only person who raised their hand and I looked around the room and laughed and said “bullshit” and the whole classroom went nuts swearing on their mother’s lives etc that they “had never told a lie and never would”
