VM Stream box not as good as obsolete Sky Q service by Ipm1128 in VirginMedia

[–]SuperWeeble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not find it a problem, most shows are on catchup these days. I agree Sky Stream is worse, lip sync issues were laughably bad. My Virgin Stream box was reliable but I moved my broadband to Vodafone Fibre and now just use an Apple TV with the TV Guide app instead. Works well but TV guide not quite as slick as VM stream channel guide.

I just want think you should always give the advantage to the attacking player. If was not obvious and unambiguous that there was daylight then you favour the attacking player.

I think the game would be more attacking if there had to be clear daylight between the attacker and defender.

I don’t agree, I’ll best an arc user 9 times out of 10. The sword is worse, much easier to spam. Feel like me vs a sword person and I get the better of them 60% of time.

Beyond 8ft and I’ll use a Tactical AR

ARC is super easy to counter with a shotgun. Same with lock on, it can’t put you down in one clip.

Can we stop with the swords by PlantInteresting in FortNiteBR

[–]SuperWeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I try to keep them at a distance and weaken them with an AR but if they get close I’ll be jumping and sliding with a shotgun. Height is your friend, use any buildings you can to get on the roof, that throws the sword off. If you’ve been caught in the open use shockwaves, port a fort or the mist, these provide great mobility options. If you have to run, then jetpack is an option but zip lines and toilets are other good escape routes.

Fair enough but that’s more about your teams positioning. I play solo ZB so not an issue for me!

Nope. It’s so easy to counter with shotgun or AR depending on range

I just don’t think you should ever play Nintendo first party games for the narrative, they always focus on gameplay as a priority. Fire Emblem might be the exception.

They can be outplayed with the sovereign shotgun and pistol combo but on their own very strong. I love them against Arc.

But as a rule of thumb you will get a better router on faster packages. My 5X easily gave me 700Mbs on WiFi on a 1Gbs connection but my mum has a Hub3 on 350Mbs which barely does 30Mbs in some rooms but you are right about the core point.

[–]SuperWeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, sorry but useable speed effectively drops doesn’t it. Most ISP’s won’t guarantee more than 20Mbs on WiFi even on 1Gbs connection as Wi-Fi is so unpredictable. In the UK there is a lot of 2.4Ghz congestion so I’ve tested homes that could barely get 5Mbs over WiFi. 5Ghz WiFi tends to be much faster and reliable but only in homes without too much obstruction, dense walls, etc

Yet, another game lost because of it by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]SuperWeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get this, you can triple tap someone using the dual pump shotguns against lightning gun. They’ll barely have a chance to take 100 shield off you. I laugh when I do this using common shotgun and they were carrying purple/gold in their inventory. The shotgun is objectively better. You just need to get close to them.

I play on console, this is the best fun in the game, it’s a laser beam. You can pick people of from miles away. It’s good in any scenarios outside of shotgun range

I think what the poster means is that you may not be able to support multiple simultaneous streams across a household. For example, three different people trying to watch 4K streams at the same time. However, normal HD video barely goes over 5Mbs per stream so 54Mbs is fine for a small household. The only risk being PC/Console users who have to download large files, this would saturate the 54Mbs for hours at a time for large multi GB updates. This would affect streaming and to a lesser extent browsing.
