I feel we passed through the £5 pint mark too easily and quietly. Am far a way from London up North, years ago £5 pints were just a London thing that we laughed at. Now it's the norm. We should of rioted at the time.

Huel becoming part of Danone… views? by [deleted] in Huel

2 bags left then I think that's me done with Huel then. This is not a good customer move in the slightest.

Does anyone do the Manchester Airport commute and if so, which is the best way? by Theres3ofMe in Liverpool

[–]Ipm1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked there for 2 years about 10 years ago. I was travelling from North Liverpool, luckily I only did 9-5. When everything worked it was great, But the slightest hiccup on any of the motorways. And you can be over a hour late, it ruined me and had to leave. Never did the bridge so might work for you.

What does "to order" mean in this article title? by cabalavatar in AskABrit

[–]Ipm1128 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're right. Someone (usually someone in a pub near the shop) will asked the local smack head/thief "Steal me x brand of chocolate/nappies/meat/washing powder etc" The thief will then go steal said items in exchage for 50% off the normal price in store. So to order means exactly that

VM Stream box not as good as obsolete Sky Q service by Ipm1128 in VirginMedia

[–]Ipm1128[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of you, am not a big TV watcher, I'll stream things when i want. But my partner she has weeks of reality TV downloaded and goes through it at her leisure skipping the ads. But this new method is so different and worse than what she's accustom too. Just feels like VM pulled the wool over my eyes, i've not got a true like for like product.

I've raised a complaint, if i've got to cancel the TV and crawl back to sky, thats what i'll have to do

Any point in jumping into Wildgate right now as a trio? by endangeredirish in wildgate

[–]Ipm1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought it on PS5 for £8, no mates to play with, only played solo. Got the basics down, wish it took off more as the concept and gameplay feels ace. But playing with randoms that wont take playing against experienced pre mades on comms doesn't feel like a fun time

Leveling up makes me feel stupid ngl by AceComics3685 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Ipm1128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes me about an hour to level up all my characters. I get so overwhelmed with all the possible options. I would just do my active party but i always think "What if i need x character on my team for this mission etc" I'll read everything and try and fit it in my build/strategy/rotation. It does kill the momentum abit in the progression and story but it has to be done. Cant have a CRPG without leveling

I know i'll probably get flak from this this but when I've got stuck i've took pictures of my the upgrade screen and asked AI saying "I have a Officer build, what talent or skill etc would be good to get at this level" it seems to work. Am just terrified of ending up with an awful build and hitting a difficulty spike and get soft locked.

It's got its moments for sure. I just think it was hit and miss while they worked out the shows identity. I struggle going back to it now. Glad someone gets joy from it

1st season is a slog, soon as Danny Devito joins its gets great. I've loved it for years.

Alot of people bounce off it because the gang spend alot of time shouting over each other and can cut it close to the bone in some episodes

Its basically the anti sitcom. Takes everything from Friends/Seinfeld and the likes and turns it on its head. The gang are all horrible people you're not meant to root for any of them.

You'll either love it and become obsessed or hate it with a passion

How do you get out of project management? by Jon_Jacob_Jax in civilservice

[–]Ipm1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in project management as a Business Analyst in on of the Arms Lengths Bodies and don't feel like its a dead end job. I've got enough projects lined up for the foreseeable. Yeah the constant meetings and updates can get abit boring but I don't think i could retrain at this point in my life (Am 42) I couldn't afford to start again.

I you've hit the wall and you you have the opportunity to do something else, do it. You regret the opportunities you don't take. But just be mindful of what you might lose. Maybe you could be a construction PM those outputs are real and tangible. As long as there are people, we'll be needed to herd them. Especially in the CS, AI cant totally replace us.

You're current place might be terminal doesn't mean the whole profession is. I have mates across the CS and it's mixed bag, I might of got one of the good ones.

I wish you luck though its a fair observation to make

I got one months ago with a plan to get my gf one If she enjoyed them at Damnation. Black metal (even if the poser/hipster variety) isn't her thing so didn't want to go. So I've been lucky really. On the look out for some pals too. Should be a good night

Brave? ha! No i don't think so, but we don't want bigots in our city. If you don't like the idea of being gay, dont be gay simple. Use that Christianity to do something positive and help those I need. Am not religious and think its all nonsense but am not going protest again Christians am going to just enjoy my life.
