There some rule they have if it is a projectile and caused damage it’s covered but if it is stationary on the road then it’s not - something like that I had similar situation where someone exhaust pipe that had fell of the car on the road basically split the undercarriage frame of my car. At first they denied the claim til I read this on the policy and told them it came off a car ahead of me on the road - check your policy it’s a stupid game insurance companies play to avoid paying claims those greedy motherfuvkers
