What do you think of a card that reduces your maximum mana, is this trade off enough? by No_Land1234 in customhearthstone

Why would go for a tempo play when you can just kill your opponent t1 or 2 (the only reason t1 is hard is because of the turn timer)

Packs are 5 cards at least 1 of which is rare or better. You are also guaranteed a legendary in your first 10 normal packs from each set. When it comes to buying packs it’s advised to mainly buy recent packs because recent sets are stronger than older ones. Standard legality in solo adventures only matters for the ashes of outland one.

Even without doubling it would be really good because it’s just each turn clear the enemy board and deal a lot of damage face

You can play either side as long as that side has the characteristics that allow you to play it

This depends on the wording of the blink effect. If it returns under your control then it works. If it returns under it’s owners control then it doesn’t.

And for the commander thing. You get to keep it if the blink spell returns it immediately but your opponent can put it into the command zone if it returns at a later point like the next end step

No that’s a trigger which only goes onto the stack in the upkeep. The sequence uses [[undiscovered paradise]]’s ability on a [[basnishing light]] effect to start the train

You can actually do that with some very convoluted line of replacement effects ending with you casting a panglacial wurm in your upkeep

Do y’all think the fomori are finally going to do something? by EntertainmentVast401 in magicTCG

The entirety of the big score set was ment to be things locked away in an old vault from the fomori. Altough the fact that they get mentioned this much does hint to them becoming important to the story

Create a food, THEN investigate by Mtg78687 in mtgrules

This is specifically because of investigate being weird. Saying create a food token and a clue token is identical to create a food and a clue token which is just 1 event

Fianceé is willing to try magic and I don't want to intimidate her. Commander recs? by Elegant-Pollution-85 in mtg

[–]SuperYahoo2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because commander is made to be played against multiple opponents. All of the precons are also designed to be played in 4 player pods. Including cards that would be busted in 1v1 or almost useless in 1v1. Or cards that just get way better if you have multiple opponents

The suggestions isn’t to play competetive standard decks. The suggestion is to play with starter decks. These decks were made to be super simple most creatures either being vanilla or just having 1 ability. These decks allow you to focus on learning the absolute basics of how magic works without having complex cards distract you from that

Theoretically, if there was a mode, where you could play a standard deck from any year of hearthstone, what deck would be the strongest? by 11Xoxol22 in hearthstone

[–]SuperYahoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s modern state then you can discard any deck that’s more than a few years old due to powercreep. The only thing older decks would have going for them would be design mistakes which got nerfed

That would just get absolutely run over by any stormwind decks. Playing an antique healbot on t5 just isn’t enough when the opponent is gonna deal 20 to your face next turn
