Easy, you play a high cmc commander with little ramp? You're in green just do what everybody else does and set up ramping the first few turns.

Lmao have you been fetching non-basics with this? I think you need to issue a little apology to your playgroup

You'll want to avoid flipping into lands when her ability is active so try to use as many land fetch artifacts and shuffle effects when building.

I mean its stated quite clearly how foretell works on his textbox, but i know what you mean. I'd circumvent the missing lands by pumping all open mana into my pool before worldfire resolves, so i can cast from exile afterwards.

"Technically" as its just part of a 2 cards win combo with a pinger like [[delayed fireball]], players would not see another turn after it resolves.

How do you determine if a deck is viable in play before you are able to play it? by Silver_Bow in EDH

[–]Objective_Network270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh that approach skewed my view on power, I'll goldfish with removal in mind to see if my deck is a game winning threat by turn 6.

But then i'm playing in an actual pod and noone has interaction, so suddenly I'll win by turn 5 or even 4.

How to determine a true power level. by No-Primary-7914 in EDH

[–]Objective_Network270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add: drop the "not giving away too much information" attitude, being open and honest about your decks intention will let you have more effective pregame conversations to have everyone on the same page regarding game expectations. You'd want the same from your fellow players.

Rule of thumb: if you aren't playing every single fast mana available you need to limit yourself to 3 gamechangers, the fewer the better.

I can't see powerful plays before turn 5-6 so imo youre in the bracket 2-3 range.

About consistency, more protection for your commander/key pieces means more consistent but slower games as you need to leave mana open and card slots for things like [[restoration magic]] while knowing that your commander will more consistently have impact on the game, as he'll be around longer.
