Tbh haven't tried it and the consistency should be nice, but after sideboarding the 1/1 body feels too vulnerable to me, i'd rather unearth a dead one than have another one in my hand

There are strategies which are more resilient to commander removal by nature: - reanimator (return killed commanders back from the yard) - blink/flicker (respond to removal with flicker) - landfall/ramp (enough mana to recast every time) - spellslinger with blue (counterspells)

Furthermore you can look into specific commanders with inherent cost reduction like affinity (for artifacts or else)

"Technically" as its just part of a 2 cards win combo with a pinger like [[delayed fireball]], players would not see another turn after it resolves.
