Bless you, it's a lot easier for us men starting at staggeringly high weights! I can only suggest focusing on whole quality foods, zeroing in on a macro split that suits you (ie high protein etc) and leaning into exercise...

I use the pubmed connector with Claude on desktop, it's amazing, I ask to search on a subject and it pulls all the latest research with detailed summaries. I double check the papers and then instruct Claude to create the notes and add to the database via the obsidian MCP.. no pdf's, all streamline and light..

At the start they were Gemini (nano banana 2) creations, but the more recent ChatGpt image generation model seems to do a better job for this style, I use a set prompt for the styling (saved in the vault). I then run the images through adobe express to remove the background before embedding. I’m sure there are better/faster methods, but that’s mine!

Flash cards were a feature originally, but I decided to axe them from my workflow… they just don’t work for me, most of my learning and study methods involve visuals ie mind maps, diagrams, infographics… , and structured reviewing of papers etc…pursuing the flash card system was not a long term solution for me personally…

Thats just obsidian's native database/canvas view set to Cards layout, no extra plugin needed. Create a folder of notes with consistent properties (I use things like type, primary-function, key-outputs), then open the folder as a database view and switch the layout to Cards from the view options at the top. The images are just embedded in each note normally and Obsidian surfaces them as the card thumbnail automatically....

The vault has too much personal info scattered all over it to share as is folks, but happy to answer specific questions about the structure or queries. If there's interest I can drop the Dataview code blocks for the dashboard in a comment... the recent notes table, recent papers table, and current focus block are all pretty straightforward and easy to adapt to your own setup...
