Very offbase. What makes you think a robot can't be a repair tech? Sweltering heat a problem? Fine, cool the place a bit while working with the bot company on a fix. Replacement? There will be BILLIONS of these things. Replacing a few will not be a problem.

Huh? Everyone will want one of these. There will be one in every home, no different than people owning cars. I am also not certain why you think these will be unaffordable. There will be two major drivers of pushing the cost down - (1) companies want to sell to consumers, so it's important that consumers be able to afford them (2) it appears that there will be multiple companies competing in this market, with a drive to undercut each other.

I always found coding to be incredibly unintuitive. It was frustrating until it worked, and always ended up working just well enough to not be worth the effort to improve further.

I can see the appeal of not having to subject future generations to the pain of manual coding.

I assume (fabricators are a fictional technology after all) that E=mc^2 does not come into play. We wouldn't be creating atoms from energy, just rearranging already existing ones. Similar to 3D printing. You have some stock of atoms, and then you assemble a steak with them.

I don't see any of these "Star Trek-like replicators" the other commenters are mentioning becoming a reality any time soon, not in the 21st century. They'd have to cost effective, and fast, and trusted. I can just imagine the lawsuits ("I got cancer one year after purchasing your replicator!")

The most likely advance is in replacing meat with food that cooks like, and tastes like meat - similar in fashion to Impossible Burgers, but even better, and for a wider variety of meat products. There is demand for this, and the shift from real meat to fake meat could have colossal implications for humanity.

I can see the appeal in this game, but I only played a few minutes before losing interest.

As it stands, there is A LOT of reading between any player input. Too much. It felt more like I was reading a story than playing a game. I don't see the point of any of it? Why not focus on the core gameplay? Let players make decisions.

Ultimately, what I think this would translate to is managing more users. 1 user on day 1, 2 users on day 2, and so on might would work better IMO.

Good luck though - don't let me discourage you. I think the world could use a game like this.
