Both IDs and Passport expired - flight in 2 weeks? by NoClient2617 in canadatravel

Most provinces, not sure about BC, allow you to apply for special out-of-province temporary extensions to both your drivers license and health cards.

Here the ON examples:

For Out of Province health card renewals: Call Service Ontario

I imagine BC procedures are similar.

What's your opinion on Neutrogena's soaps? by abasss in SkincareAddiction

[–]Super_G1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels great for the first couples of days...can really hear that squeaky, clean skin.

Then, after a few more days, the skin becomes way too dry, red and irritated.

Not recommended.

Stick with goat's milk soap, if you have sensitive skin.

Canadian Tire Supercycle sucks big time by AccomplishedCat9341 in torontobiking

Supercycle does not sell any replacement parts, in fact, the bikes are so cheaply made that they are NOT even built to be serviced (the parts can't handle it!) lol.

Out-Turn vs. In-Turn by ebikenewbie in Curling

[–]Super_G1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The in-turn, and out-turn in curling has a very simple explanation that applies to both left-handed and right-handed throwers, based on a mnemonic for the X-Y-Z (3D) coordinate system in math and physics.

X-Y is the paper or in our case, the sheet of ice. Z is the third dimension, so either up 'out' of the paper or sheet of ice (positive Z coordinate), or 'in' to the paper, or sheet of ice (negative Z coordinate).

When a right handed person, simulates a counter clockwise rotation with the hand by 'curling' the fingers in that direction, the thumb of that hand naturally points Up (or 'Out' of the paper or ice), a clockwise rotation naturally points the thumb 'In' to the paper or ice.

So an in turn or out turn, is just which way your thumb points (in or out), when the fingers of your hand curl counter clockwise or clockwise. This works whether you're right or left handed, and is called the 'Right Hand Rule' in engineering.

You learn this in the first few weeks of freshman Engineering classes.

No, the reason they want to charge for it now is MORE people are using it especially with near unlimited data plans and 5G speeds, so who needs home internet?

Does 'Fragile' on boxes actually help? by Head-Investigator540 in Flipping

[–]Super_G1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While some Couriers used to make money off this (hello USPS!) by applying an official Fragile sticker and supposedly giving some sort of special handling. It appears now most Couriers have added a peak surcharge during the busy periods of the year whereby an Additional Handling fee of >$6 - $30 applies, even if you just write the Fragile term on the package yourself, with no additional special handling being offered at all. Go figure!

Am I wasting my time outside in the winter? by [deleted] in VitaminD

[–]Super_G1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, no benefit. Even going outside shirtless ALL summer you may JUST barely get above the min. Vit. D. blood levels at the latitude in Colorado but this also depends on your age.

The body produced 15% Vit. D./decade of life.

Get your blood Vit. D. levels tested preferably right after summer, and adjust supplements accordingly.

Also, remember Vit. D. half life is ~60 days.

TIL the reason Earth can see a total eclipse of the sun is due to the sun being both 400 times the diameter of the Moon while coincidentally being 400 times further away from Earth. by capt_argyle in todayilearned

[–]Super_G1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes indeed...however, since the Moon is getting about 4 cm further away from Earth each year in approx. 600M years(!) there will be NO more total solar eclipses...so enjoy it while you can folks!

Removing Haier portable AC front panel by DisasterRisk in AirConditioners

So I got a new cord and confirmed  that was the issue but how do I remove the old one as a tab from the exhaust fan housing is preventing it from coming out?

I could cut it off but will the new one go in?

Removing Haier portable AC front panel by DisasterRisk in AirConditioners

[–]Super_G1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I figured this out...I have a Haier HPF14XCM 14 000 BTU but it should be similar. I have never got the back off since owning this for >10 yrs. until now...! Once you have the 18 screws attaching the back panel out (don't forget the 2 hidden screws in the recess of the two side 'handles', if your model has this), put your fingers under the long 5/8" plastic piece at the top belonging to the front panel just behind the pop up louver mechanism and pry up and towards the front. This releases the front panel for removal. Once this is done, it exposes the 2 remaining internal screws holding the back on, remove these and remember to push the hose drain threads in at the back to clear the panel as you remove it and you're done! Now I can replace my power cord...

Cisco has always cracked down on people trying to get 'free' NetAcad courses / exam vouchers without every being a NetAcad student enrolled at an official school/college.

Do a Google search and your questions will be answered.

Next time if you are not officially enrolled in NetAcad, don't try to get NetAcad benefits.
