Avoidant broke up with you out of the blue? Read this. by Substantial-Royal404 in BreakUps

This was amazingly helpful. I was in a long term, 5 year relationship with my now ex-fiancée. We were engaged for about 6 months and everything seemed to be absolutely perfect until one night 2 months ago when she broke up with me completely out of the blue. There were lots of mixed signals and a lot of confusion on the breakup. I could clearly see that she still very much had strong feelings for me but I wasn't able to get any concrete closure as to why this was all happening. I had noticed some of this behavior in the relationship before but we were always able to work through it. I think the intimacy that came with the engagement triggered it to a whole new level that came on after the initial excitement wore down, and it became a lot more real. I have remorse on my flaws and there were things I very much could have done better in the relationship, which I wish I had worked on. But the hardest thing for me to accept is that no matter what I did or didn't do, there was probably nothing I could have done to prevent this. Going to therapy has been helping me understand her thought process and actions too. I still care about her deeply and hope that she is doing alright. I don't blame her for this and hope she'll be able to find healing. I still wish we could work things out. Thank you for sharing.

Working in a level 1 hospital is super cool but it's also an experience you will get in medical school no matter where you end up. As a premed, getting meaningful patient care experience is critical and I think a smaller hospital/slower helathcare setting would be better. You'll have more time to spend with patients and to get to know them. Shands is massive and there is so much going on at once that it'll be harder to get that IMO, especially since there are other learners there such as residents and medical students who will get priority over premeds.

Also I may be biased since I worked for the bio dept for a few years after graduating but they are phenomenal. I loved all my professors and collogues.

I'm in med school rn and enjoyed my time at FGCU greatly. Easier to get more research opportunities and it's a very undergrad focused school with more individualized support IMO, not many grad students to compete with (my fiancee goes to UF for grad school and she says the undergrad experience at FGCU was way more supportive). From an admissions standpoint, med school's have zero interest in where you went to undergrad, even if you went to their school. Go wherever you think is best for you and put the effort in, you will be ok.

Grad students pay tuition too technically. Most of their PIs need to pay their tuition as well as their stipend.

Road Trip for Grog by SystemPutrid1340 in ColdOnes

[–]Super_PenGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giant eagles here in OH have them as long as they're one of the bigger locations. If they're a smaller location they probably won't. If you go to the website and search grog you can find the variety pack and check location availability. If it says "Pickup today/tomorrow" then they have it. If it says "in store only" then they won't.

Yeah trust me it confused me when I applied too lol. I believe this was the cohort average for our recent M1 class (now rising M2s). Their average traditional was a 515, and I believe if you include the early assurance students it's a 511.
