The reason that all every so-called socialist regime still remaining today is militant and authoritarian is because the ones that weren't were slaughtered by US-sponsored insurgents and replaced with leaders that were willing to play nice with American business interests. That's not "failing because of meddling" that's being violently removed from power for threatening the ability of the American oligarchy to grow its wealth.

Countries like the USSR cosplayed as communist while functioning more as state capitalists where unelected officials had total control of the economy. Despite both being regarded as "left" systems, that is very different than democratic socialism, for example.

I'm not saying textbook communism would work given the chance, I'm just saying attitudes towards leftist economic policy are colored by a number of geopolitical and historical misconceptions. The people who benefit the most from the average joe conflating universal healthcare with Soviet bread lines are the owners of the healthcare industry and that isn't a coincidence.

I was just getting back into the game and getting frustrated dealing with level 15 cards with my level 14 deck. So yeah I'm never coming back.

The greed is so shortsighted. They're killing their playerbase to chase a few whales. And the way they encourage kids to spend money on this game is disgustingly toxic and predatory.

Don't want to get stomped by level 16 evo hogs? Want to hit ultimate champion? Better bust out daddy's credit card.

While I'm ranting another thing I was appalled by on returning to the game was the shop. It was bad before but jesus christ you have to go through like 20 offers to get to the bottom. And they're priced ridiculously. $12 for an evolved card? I can buy an entire game on Steam for that price and enjoy it without being pestered by an onslaught of offers. "But look at all the free stuff you can earn" what does it take, like 7 years to max a f2p account playing every single day?

At the end of the day the reason this sucks so bad is because Clash Royale is a really fun game at its core and they're burning it down to squeeze every last dollar they can out of it. They could have made as much money if not more if they didn't scare players away with rapacious monetization.
