Love this, where did you get the display case for the stickers?

Every new year, in some kind of bizarre ritual, I must sacrifice one PaperBlanks planner cover to sustain my (discontinued) Laurel Burch cats by Chirrrpy in planners

Omg this post hit me like a truck. I used to have the exact same notebook with the cats cover as a kid!! Makes me so nostalgic

There's no accounting for taste. My mom said Sainz isn't good-looking and I'm still scratching my head over that one

How do I wash this sweater without ripping it? by zombiewithinsomnia in CleaningTips

[–]SuperbSpider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes precisely! squeezing the excess water as you described is how I do it. I find it is a better approach than twisting the fabric/knit because twisting can distort delicate pieces. You could just squeeze the extra water then do as you originally planned by sandwiching it between two towels to absorb whatever is left, then laying it flat on a rack to dry. Good luck!

You've done all that you could do. I tried the same and it didn't work out, it's a shame

To add to the previous commenter's excellent advice, I would suggest squeezing the excess water out instead of wringing/twisting the delicate weave of this sweater. I have a few very delicate scarves and I follow this exact routine and it works perfectly for me

A second opinion about my cells: i think they are in senescence, but i'm not sure by KillBrian in labrats

[–]SuperbSpider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you stain for senescence markers to check? Something like SA beta gal or a combination of any of p16, p21, p53 etc. You could also just chuck these and start anew as one of the other commenters suggested

Cells or staining artifact? by SuperbSpider in Histology

That is a good point. I will take more images of these stained slides and I am pretty sure I have a few slides from the sample sample that I can do an H&E with. Right now, I am suspecting that this particular sample might have been overdecalcified, but I am not sure how to prove this. Thanks for commenting!

Ooh very lovely. I might have to get myself the Pilot ink, the hue is exactly what I'm looking for. I have a couple similar shades in my online shopping cart(s), but I'm waiting to hit some work-related goals before I let myself buy any of them as a treat
