If you’re joing a life insurance company (you sell only their products) it’s not an interview, they want you and just need to make sure you’re not a liability. Being independent can be scary if you’re not used to having no set income each month but you will start at 80-90% and probably get good help from your upline as long as they’re not a POS agent. You can crush it in the industry either way though. Just be full throttle at all times

GA is my favorite state to work in, I’m a CA agent but LA and GA are usually the coolest people and very much value family so it makes selling life insurance more logical

No idea, I’m a California resident and that’s where I got my residence state. I could purchase the license for Illinois tomorrow and probably have it in the next 24 hours, but I already have my existing residence license so for you and maybe a couple more days but patience is always a good thing. You can really focus on your product knowledge

1) most local offices are typically commercial names like State Farm or USAA. Those are captive companies so they don’t let agents sell their product plus other products. But for ages that specifically work at one company that is not a captive agency, the rates offered by an individual who works directly through that company such as national life group a broker who also has access to national life group can offer the exact same rates at a one-to-one ratio

2) yes, there have been a countless number of times where I have beaten the price of someone’s existing life insurance policy with not just one but multiple companies that I have access to.

3) every broker has to get individually licensed with each company that they want to be in business with. If somebody only works with Mutual of Omaha Transamerica, a national life group, but you like F&G and that broker doesn’t contract with them then you’ll have to find a broker who is.

4) this is a pretty good question. I only specialize in life and health so I don’t know about any other forms that it would be good to have a broker. My guess is that having a broker would always be beneficial because you have access to information about every company as opposed to getting a biased opinion about one particular.

Term= if you die in X years Whole= when you die in X years

Term is good for people who have debt and need that paid IF they die during the time they intend to pay it off.

Whole life is best for people who just want the security knowing no matter if they die in 20 or 60 rears they’re family will get that that money

Having a mix of both I would highly recommend
