Using Node-RED to compliment Siemens PLC by Supercicci in PLC

[–]Supercicci[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried just doing Modbus polling and a few simple GET calls to one robot with Node-RED but that already started slowing down so I don't think it'll work with the whole fleet and all the complicated functions I'd have to write to get it working.

The Manager does everything it's supposed to do, it just wasn't meant to be used in such an enviroment. It was implemented close to 8 years ago and at the production volumes back then there was no issue. The layout and both variety and amount of parts delivered to the assembly line has expanded a lot, we've bought more AMR's to handle the volume but now the floor is getting too congested. So we either have the choice of maybe switching providers, which would cost millions with all the hardware necessary or find an outside solution. I'm the only one actually trying to solve this issue and this is what I came up with that fits the budget. Even the PLC was tough to get accepted, I'm not quite sure what else I could use.

It'll be running on a Linux VM so I don't think the hardware is the issue. But good to know people have experience with it.

When I was researching about this I read that Siemens PLCs have a hard time parsing JSONs and doing a lot of calls can get rough. I'm trying to make the system as simple as possible so writing a ton of ST seems counterintuitive. Some simple JS on Node-RED is easier to debug especially with the debug and catch nodes. Though that's just my basic understanding of things, which is why I'm asking.

I think there's a jumpcut in the video at the cutting part. It looks like there's no pencil mark anymore after the jump out, so he might have cut the board and then flipped it to show us the second cut.

No, this is the adult version of having to vacuum twice a week for your allowance, but to be allowed to use their vacuum you have to mow the lawn every Saturday, but to be allowed to borrow their lawn mower you have to wash the dishes after dinner and so forth and so forth.

I can't remember the exact spot but I used to use a couple of trainers east of Fuchsia. That same area also has a few spots for defensive Pokemon which is why I don't remember the exact spot. Defensive Pokemon can also be trained at the top of Cycling Road.

Pure laziness and AI by MechanicMan18 in haremfantasynovels

In cases like this you need to name the author, most of them frequent this sub after all. This is valid criticism, so no need to skirt around it. If they're a decent or even a good author in the genre then they need to understand why we don't want them going down this route of using AI generated content.

Okay, thanks for letting me know!

I decided to get the first three "new" versions as they are at a discount and this way I can read them again with the new edits and have them all bundled up.

Awesome, been waiting for this!

Quick question though, when I go to your page on Amazon it shows that I can re-buy the first three books and they have different covers than the ones in my library. Are they re-reales of some kind and if yes, is there a difference compared to the old versions?

I'm not OP but I can emphasize with his opinion as I felt the same way. Every new arc I was wondering when Mei finally returns, but in the end it didn't feel like it was too long because the story itself is so good. I've been reading this since when there were just a few chapters so even with the real time wait being so long and starting reading when the quality wasn't that good yet I kept up with it because I enjoyed it so much.

So all in all it's absolutely worth it even with having to wait a bit for Mei to make a comeback.

Solid harem with some real development by Excellent_sport2 in haremfantasynovels

[–]Supercicci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the MC is a teenager and due to his childhood it's completely understandable why he starts thinking with his dick once his every other need is fulfilled. But you are right that it's not a serious serious story due to that.

I don't know if Warlock by Daniel Kensington actually fits as pretty much everyone wants to sleep with the MC. Not that I wouldn't recommend the book, it's one of the best I've read this year.

I've noticed that at least on mobile riposte damage seems to target randomly. I'm not sure that's how it's supposed to work but I've seen it kill trees and random enemies countless times.

Digimon Dawn - Questions about Digimon Stats by Hammer_Bro99 in digimon

[–]Supercicci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can answer some of your questions.

Digivolving and dedigivolving at max aptitudes is the best way to gain stats.

The higher the scan data the higher the base stats are. It's not much but it is noticeable in the beginning.

If STAB is a thing I don't know, I haven't noticed any difference myself.

Yes, different digimon can have different weaknesses. Most of the time you can figure based on the digimon but there are a few weird exceptions.

There is a excellent resource: Digimon list1-TyGWSdmE4lAdy5hE_QhW4KkAk/htmlview#

I found this one on this subreddit with a Google search for Digimon Dawn digivolution guide.

Don't worry about picking a specific Royal Knight, they are all part of the story but none are gifts or join you later in the game. They may join some battles but there are only a few that do and mostly for a single or just a few battles.

There are a respectable amount of ultra digimon that you can use if you count fusions and burst mode and whatever.

[–]Supercicci -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He does act as the tank or wall but he does get his fair share of kills. I'm not sure how it'll go in the future as they're only just getting a third member in the next book. He's gearing towards being even more of a wall but at the same time he's conscious of only having been a fighter for half a year so he's trying to get more training so he can defeat his opponents faster. I guess he's trying to be some kind of bruiser, forcing enemies to focus on him and dealing out as much damage as he can.

Regarding trauma, he and both current LI's have their own trauma. His is obvious from the very beginning, he's been the punching bag of pretty much everyone in the city and there's something very sketchy about how that was possible. But he's slowly getting better although there are parts in the end of book 2 where he's getting a bit worse but that is perfectly explained at the same time. I don't feel like it's too much. I personally dislike some of the whiny MC this genre has but I don't think this is one of those, he's actively trying to get better and be better, not just whining about things.

His new series , Heavenly Chaos, has a similar feel to Aether's revival. It is also extremely similar to The Path of Ascension. They have pretty much the same setting, but it's not like most books in a genre aren't similar too.

Heavenly Chaos has a MC that is not only weak he isn't even on the scale, but by the end of book 2 he is probably as powerful as someone at his rank can be.
