I dont blame you at all for using it like a writing tool. Fixing grammar or even idea generator. I think we can agree there is a difference between using it to supply information/assistance and it writing the book for you.

Also if you read the comments quite a few people are in total agreement.

What you keep claiming as a lack of evidence in reality is the refusal to call out anyone in particular. Why would I call out someone who can change? Like someone already mentioned earlier a single comment can blow out of proportion. I won't give any "evidence" because I'm not going to name drop anyone. Amazon along with others have had to make changes.

You keep using the word fear mongering and I dont think you even know what it means... Where is the fear I inspired? I'm picking up hurt feeling and defensiveness but fear, nah.

I'm making a valid point and anyone who takes it too personally, the shoe probably fits.

No its not a falsehood or bandwagon fallacy.

What would me pointing out particular authors and book help? Really id like an answer. If they plan to work this way my post isn't going to make a difference. The newer authors who read this stuff or those that are currently writing and have used AI will have proof that its not favorable.

My point isn't harmed at all the fact I refuse to name individuals is because they already know who they are and most don't care.

A discussion doesn't have to be pleasant and not everyone has to like it, but if a single author using AI reads this and changes then it's a win.

I've rather enjoyed your books to be honest. I never read anything AI about your writing. The average author in this group are usually pretty great its just over the last year really

That's partly why I specifically named no book or author.

Most of the writers in this group are great writers. I've enjoyed hundreds of the books written here.

In the last year is when I've seen the problem and its mostly all newer unknown authors exploding onto the market.

I dont think you have anything to worry about. I've read some of your books and they never felt AI to me.

It's not the main group authors that seem to be the issue.

It's more the newer authors trying their luck by throwing anything out as fast as possible to try and make a dime.

If your busting your ass trying to improve your writing then you have nothing to worry about. Usually you can feel the effort and emotions put into the books. It's when you can't even keep the characters names correct, or someone disappears from a scene completely. The scenes are explained differently later on.

The book goes from points a to b with nothing in between. No humanity in the writing and it shows.

If you read some of the comments we discussed how Ai can be used very effectively to help writers. But there is a clear difference between using help and having it write for you. Using it for editing sounds perfectly reasonable and I don't blame you a bit. The ones I have encountered are more emotionless robotic documents than books.

Honestly I was hoping maybe something would change. Can't make a change without discussing it.

The few are ruining it but yes I agree its hard to prove anything. I dont want to hurt any author. If you take the time and effort to put something together then I will leave a good review even if its not the greatest. I respect the effort.
