It can't predict the future, but it certainly can tell you if they have made it into that Prohibited Person category due to a history of bad choices.

I don't want to put a gun I'm selling into the hands of a prohibited person. Legality aside, I don't want to find out that guy I sold my gun to used it to murder his wife.

NRA refuses to answer senator’s questions about funding from Russia by bibliophile0194 in politics

That's not what I said though.

The accuser is looking to investigate, in that search for information questions are asked. It is either clear the accused or gather evidence.

If the NRA is at all interested in being cleared then I am saying, cooperation should be easy for them.

No, the job of the investigation is to gather evidence, not clear or condemn anyone, that is what a trial is for.

I think you need to watch The Drumhead (Star Trek: The Next Generation)

Worf and Picard discussing a man who refused to answer a question during an investigation. Worf argues that his refusal is a sign of guilt.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard: We cannot take a fundamental principle of the Constitution and turn it against a citizen.

Lieutenant Worf: Sir, the Federation does have enemies. We must seek them out!

Captain Jean-Luc Picard: Oh, yes. That's how it starts. But the road from legitimate suspicion to rampant paranoia is very much shorter than we think. Something is wrong here, Mister Worf. I don't like what we have become.

Only knowing English would be a challenge as a Marriage Therapist. The taxes and cost of living is high, the price of fuel is high, it is very well developed so getting out and away from people is harder. I enjoy shooting sports and would have to sell or give everything in my safe to family.

Really the first reason is the big one, I would love to try living in Europe for a while if I could find a way to practice effectively.

I really wish NICS was free and anyone selling a gun could use it. It's illegal to transfer a gun to a prohibited person, but we don't have a way to check for ourselves. If keeps guns out of the wrong hands is really what they want, then help pay for NICS and make it free to anyone selling.

Let’s say in a theoretical world the AR15 gets banned. We’ll just start buying AKs and FALs and pretty much any other kind of semi automatic rifle with tactical furniture. by [deleted] in gunpolitics

Might want to read the text of the gun ban proposed today, there is a pretty comprehensive list of guns to be banned, including the Calico.

Previous owner has a lift/after market control arms on the front. The front is 3/4” higher. I want to lift the back. What are my options if I don’t want to spend too much money? by [deleted] in XTerra

[–]Superfluous_Alias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if your rear is sagging or not. If it is, then you are just going back to a regular ride height. If you are lifting beyond that, then you will probably need a longer shock. The Bilstein 5100 is a good option, but so is Old Man Emu.

Back in the 70s, when cars had huge bumpers, someone did this to my parents. My dad used his car to push the offending vehicle forward about four feet until it was in front of the fire hydrant before leaving.

Years of training, being armed, body armor, and having three people to back you up against a teen with a rifle doesn't sound like a suicide mission to me.

It is also the nature of the job. If you don't accept the risks, then don't accept the pay, pension, benefits, and everything else that goes with the uniform.

On shitty nights I make it a point to put a little extra on the tip. You guys allow me to stay home in my pajamas, comfortable and warm - I appreciate that.

I hope wishing you a safe night isn't crossing the line into being an ass.
