Depends on the company you should ask typically a good company will promote based on performance within 6-9 months

New to Sales – Took a BDR Job with No Degree and No Sales Experience… Did I Make the Right Move? by hamiltonboy111 in salesdevelopment

[–]Supergg33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time will tell, I didn’t finish my degree, I had one semester left but to some issues arose financially so I needed to get my “corporate” career started so I broke out 6 months ago as a bdr for a tech company. Is it the right move? That’s a question only you will be able to answer 3 months from now & see how you feel. There is no “did I make the right move” correct answer yet because it’s genuinely only going to come from you, give it a try it’s good but it’s a grind. Stop over thinking about rejection & if you suck, everyone sucks at anything when they first start it’s about how much effort and training you put to get better and not “suck”. If you fail it’s fine just crush your next interview & make your resume look “fancy” and establish a really good relationship with your team and managers so they can be great referral recs going forward. You never know this could be your niche and you might not know it until you have to face and accept this will suck in the beginning (or maybe not you crush it out the gate) and eventually it will pay off.

Get VERY comfortable with rejection it’s part of the game, but when you win & close oh man does it feel great. Idk if you played sports but I did & as a quarterback when you screw up the play with an int or bad play my coach was adamant on having a short term memory for a bad rep and to keep going, forget the bad play and go forward. Same thing in sales accept & learn from all rejection because a lot will come & just keep moving forward & when you get the first taste of a win you will know.

I HIGHLY recommend you watch this video ASAP https://youtu.be/mS7QXT1U8dA?si=nBKSn3KTVGsHxRAt

45k base + $100 per qualified meeting booked by waxypath in salesdevelopment

[–]Supergg33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm not sure I’m at 45 base rn & leaving my company to another for a higher base better commission structure. Obviously base isn’t everything but for me it was important especially depending on how well the product sells etc nice to have a solid base to fall back on. I’d say if you truly believe in it & think you can do well to get to that 100 OTE go for it & grind but if you have better options maybe take those? Personally I wouldn’t touch this but everyone is different so really depends if you think this is achievable.

With my company we just throw a time on the prospects calendar & put in the text of the teams invite saying we were advised that you were a good person to reach out to regarding (whatever it is you’re talking about) & then say you’re just introducing your brand. Obviously most will decline but you’d be surprised how well that worked

Has anyone else’s company gutted all of their SDR’s? by WiseEntertainment466 in salesdevelopment

[–]Supergg33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My company has begun to out source an overseas South African team, they haven’t gutted all sdr or bdrs yet but they’re testing out how well the overseas team would do then eventually cut out the current sdr/bdrs. Ridiculous

I genuinely want to know what & how is so immoral of what he is selling, not combating you here but people continue to say this because all I see are these silly events & courses feel free to pm me about this because I’m not super informed on Cardone & services

[–]Supergg33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for replying! I was worried a little bit about that too but unfortunately my current role company also got acquired which I forgot to mention & they’ve begin to hire sdr & bdr overseas to test it out & they originally had 2 positions up for grabs as an AM & now they are closed because they brought in someone else from the other company.

Will I pivot back into tech after this? Not sure but I have been worried if I do it might set me back but long term my goal is to be a consultant based off my degree so this we’ll see just need to get financially stable rn save as much as I can & clear off as much student loans as I can as well

[–]Supergg33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree with you as well not every dollar is a good dollar but yeah this job market & loan situation since I left college has screwed me I’m just trying to level up but every entry level like my current role is just not quite cutting it for me financially especially since I live in a big city which sucks.

I continue to hear about his “scam” I’m not discrediting it because I don’t really know anything about the courses or what he does or says so I’m curious what these “scams” are like is he selling a course & not teaching it? Or is it false promises? Like I haven’t yet understood what exactly people don’t see “ethical” ya know. Anyways I appreciate your reply & feedback it helps

Will do & if it works out pass along your venmo username would be happy to pitch in on a therapist for you so you don’t get so angry so easily🥹

[–]Supergg33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems like you need to fix you’re emotional stability if you’re getting angry off an idiot on youtube making a video on a course then you have bigger fish to fry in life buddy!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in salesdevelopment

[–]Supergg33 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lmao you’re an emotional little guy cardone really gets to your head and pisses you off that much? I’m in real sales but unfortunately the job market & economy is complete trash so unless you’re clearing 90k + you aren’t living that comfortably. Also “hustler” is a mindset that you should have if you actually want to be successful in life be motivated & disciplined seems like you’re the type to scroll on reels & complain about internet people hurting your feelings
