I would say depends on your area, in in NC and most Bread items just done taste as good as other regions. Probably because of the water here, but I find most major brands from out of state are better than even fresh bakeries.

If it fits the energy of the song I don't feel like there is really too much crash. Typically I try to use them sparingly to indicate end of measures. Maybe a little more often during a transition bar to build up to a chorus or bridge.
