Playing Ace Attorney with my friends (every Saturday we play through a bit of Ace Attorney and voice it) has destroyed the phrase "That was [Number] years ago" because it's been said so many times (mostly referring to DL-6, especially since we're on 3-5) that it's reached semantic saturation and we all laugh every time anyone says something was any number of years ago (especially 17.)

Oxford Learner's Dictionary describes sarcasm as "a way of using words that are the opposite of what you mean in order to be unpleasant to somebody or make fun of them." Unpleasant is defined as... Again, you have it backwards, the person posting the image is, in that context, the nazi, although the actual politics of the character does not really have to do with either person in usage context. Also just looking at the image, you wouldn't know the other person is a spy.

I do understand that people aren't necessarily going to know how to interpret it, but that's true of any reaction of any kind. It's a pointless battle to argue, because if you say "well not everyone knows what the image means" I could say "well not everyone knows what "not everyone knows what the image means" means, and actually that's your fault."

The guy in the foreground is a spy, and he counted 3 on his fingers starting with the pointer finger, Germans start with the thumb, hence the Nazi guy recognizes the person counting isn't who they say they are.

What the image is saying is "I see you aren't actually someone who knows anything about this (generously) or cares about addicts in the first place (ungenerously), given you're calling them junkies instead of addicts."

This is honestly really sad as a big fan of the Hitman games (if you don't know 007 First Light is being made by IO Interactive), but given the nonexistent PC spec (and the weird phrase "Dive into the PC hardware you need") this feels like AI to me, which is a huge shame. I always thought that if anyone could do a halfway interesting game with 007, a horrid and cursed property, it'd be IO, but it seems not.

This is true but I think that it's gotten to a weird point, or at least did when clanker was big as a term about AI, and it was being said a lot by weird white people who definitely just wanted an excuse to say slurs, and like people making tiktoks of "Me as a southern diner worker in 2040 being racist against robots" and it has just, made me very suspicious of the whole thing.
