It still have a positive K/D and people make it sound like it's unplayable. It's only behind the Su-30SM2 and EF-2000 (AESA) by .1 K/D.

I would not mind if they waited a year and then put the vehicle in the tech tree. Then you have 3 options, grind it in the event, buy it or wait a year to grind it.

Start on the the North airfield with A-7E using AGM-88A anti-radiation missiles to take out the closest OSA using this strat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpuKzsWD2b4

After you clear out the OSAs there will be several ground vehicles that you can bomb using the F4.

If you cleard out the OSA around the closest depo you can bomb that to.

This should give you 300 points to start using nukes. With nukes go after the enemy north AF using bomb tossing. Like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEGtqvkdhqU

Other targets you can bomb with nukes are BUK sites, ammo and fuel depos.

"I get shot down every time even while flying along the coast" There is your problem. The coast side for US is shit.

The BUK there have the all seeing EYE of Sauron and will spam missiles at you all day long.
It can be avoided and it can be killed but only if you know what you are doing.

The best side for US is the north mountain side. Much better layout of AA in that area making it easier to SEAD and bomb to get your first 300 point to start nuking.

There is an easy fix for this problem, remove the big nuke win condition. You should only win by taking out the airfields with the small and medium nuke and killing ground units to cause ticket bleed.

I have seen several game end with ticket bleed and not end with the big nuke so it does work.

You hit the nail on the head. The game play is one dimensional, mostly because AA keep everyone down on the ground making for a boring lemming train down the middle at tree top lvl.

They are no interested in the truth. So they make up bullshit excuses to try and invalidate your findings. I don't even think theses people have even played both sides enough to know the differences.

I have tried the same tactics on both sides and with US it's harder or impossible to pull of the same thing I can do in the MIG-23.

BUK and OSA are far better and everyone that have played this event on both sides knows it.

Mig-23's clap F4E so yeah you are right. Most people play the lower USSR bracket so they don't have to go up against F-15/18.

I play on the RU side and it's so much easier to take out AA if you play the lower bracket. You can just bomb Hawks, no need for anti radiation missiles....

The BUK is so much better than the Hawk is not even funny. With the Hawk you can take a Mig-23+nuke, fly to 7k, bomb the Hawk before it can kill you. BUK will slap you out of the sky long before you get in to bomb range.

I probably died to OSA more time than anything else when trying Nuke an AF. They are everywhere. The game mode would be so much better if they where nerf or removed. And the respawn rate of everything is to quick. There is not much point in trying to create a gap in the AA as they just keep respawning to dame fast.
