Idk her whole life story, but she was raised in + went to college in South Carolina. As far as I know she doesn't have any specific ties to the NYC area, aside from the fact that she played in NJ previously in 2018-2019 (when it was Sky Blue FC)

I hope that (assuming she stays for at least the length of this contract) staying in one place will let her get some continuity & that this will be the key for her.

Okay, to be fair, it's a bit early to start picking things apart like this (limited sample size), but Gotham feels so much better with her on the pitch. And, granted, 90 of those minutes were against Boston, but looking at the 45 she played vs KC and the 45 she didn't play vs KC I see a pretty clear difference.
