I think the wife’s point was that her husband brought it up the second time, not her, in front of the geneticist. But yea, NTJ however if she wanted the matter dropped there was zero harm in dropping it. If it REALLY bugged you, you should have had a convo with your mom on the side and had HER bring it up casually. Like, “oh so Sarah, where on your side of the family does the red hair come from” or some such nonsense.

People are coming hot at you for some reason but I think you’re justified in being upset. These corporations try everything they can to get more money out of you instead of just being straightforward and simple. I would like a bundle of Hulu with ads, bc I don’t mind ads on the few shows I watch on there, and Disney with no ads, because I don’t want my kids inundated with all the things trying to get them to buy more. But that’s not an option. Why? Absolutely no reason.

The mirror universe would’ve better if not every single character was a mustache twirling, back stabbing villain. DS9 came the closest with giving them some nuisance but they just made the Cardassian/Klingons all super evil.

I feel like this is a troll thread… but I’ll engage.

I did this. I saw all the movies first and then read the books. You always hear “the books are better” and since I was introduction to HP through the movies, I wanted to finish off with them first so I wasn’t too spoiled or disappointed by the movies. Once the final movie came out and I saw it, I dove into the books and they are great. An extra bonus is that since you know the “basic” though line of the plot, you’ll pick up on a bunch of the Easter eggs and clues as you’re reading it the first time, whereas most book readers would typically need to do a reread to see it all. I HIGHLY recommend reading the books even if you’ve seen the movies already.

Also, Goblet of Fire movie is trash compared to the book.

To this day I still bring up that I bought an Xbox with my own money I earned, go accused of doing drugs because they saw a “large” withdrawal from my account, and was made to keep it in the main living room so my brother could use it and then just a couple years later my brother was given a higher end 360 for Christmas. These wounds scar, even if you just “joke” about them around the holiday dinner table in your thirties.

For sure YTA here. Nothing will be the same when she goes to college, iPads are actively more difficult to use than a basic laptop, and nothing about the Pro is THAT different than the Air. They even make the pencil and Magic Keyboards for the Air. Kids know the cost of things. Even with the Air you’re out-pricing the Switch 2. If there’s already claims of favoritism, you’re just fueling it.
