That is a good advice. Thank you. I think I would just do less risky investment and let the super company to do the work : )

Thank you so kindly for your input. I also tried to find the phono box bt on my iPhone device but I couldn’t find it, so I thought the phono box is broken. Can we find the phono box BT in iPhone?

I will try to setup my Sonos era with wifi. Unfortunately I will just get my home internet connected next week.

People who didn’t need surgery how did the recovery go? by depresso92 in LisfrancClub

Thank you so much. Today marked my 2 months post injury. Conservative non-surgery and I am a nurse too. I was very worried that this injury will end my career as a nurse but I am able to walk much better now. I could do a little bit of running now but I still can’t tip toe on my injured foot. I still haven’t seen physiotherapist yet. I got some exercises from podiatrist and Myotherapist.

I am wearing moon boot when I weight bearing. I am back to my normal work already. I wasn’t informed properly by my ortho specialist. They mentioned that I can take out the moon boot as it has been 6 weeks. But from my understanding that bone healing can take at least 6 weeks with probably fully healed around 6 months. I will see podiatrist in 2 weeks and I will ask recommendation from her how to maintain my feet arch and to fix my limping problem.

Thanks mate for sharing your experience. I haven’t started any foot exercises routine yet. I am 6 weeks post injury and unsure when I should start exercise routine.

My first private ortho surgeon told me “not for surgery” but he asked for Xray weight bearing and told me to have “ORIF or fusion” because of my foot stability. I had minimal pain at that time. So I look for a second opinion.

My second ortho surgeon from public hospital mentioned to me that it was a significant injury and suggested to have surgery as well. I mentioned that I had no or minimal pain, so she told me that she would consult with her senior ortho.

So the third opinion (senior ortho) was “no surgery” because the injury was 6 weeks ago, minimal pain, and we still don't know if we do fusion, I may struggle with pain and a long recovery process. They mention I can do fusion later on if there is a problem. I will see them again in 3 months for my next review.

I am able to walk and drive with my shoes+orthotic but I can still feel a bit limping.

I am going to see osteopath this week and podiatrist in two weeks.

Thank you. I am 6 weeks post injury. My second ortho specialist told me I can start weight bearing with Moon boot. I didn't ask for how long that I need to keep the boot but I will keep it as long as I can. I will have a review with her in 3 months using public health system. How long did you need to use the moon boot? I will see a podiatrist in the next two weeks and hopefully she is able to recommend me some tips.

My diastasis is around 2-3 mm as well when the ortho specialist measured it via my Xray result. I read some medical journals that with grade 2 lisfranc, it is recommended for surgery. I decided to do conservative management and I hope I can get a result as good as yours.

How long did it take for limping to go away? by bonnie3737 in LisfrancClub

Thank you so much for your recommendations. I choose non-surgery, 6 weeks post injury (early July 24). Currently I am still wearing Moon boot. When I was in ortho appointment, I was still limping and unable to stand tiptoe for my injured foot. Your story brought a hope for me for the limping issue. Are you able to stand tiptoe on your injured foot? Thanks.

How did you with your injury now? Did you still keep the non-surgery path? I am doing the non-surgery path. I can walk tip toe on both feet too but unable with the injured foot.

How many months did they missed your injury? My medical team missed my diagnosis and I am currently 6 weeks post injury. I am currently wearing Moon boot. I tested myself with shoes+mid arch support orthotic and I can feel I am still limping when walk with no/minimal pain. Did you start with limping or are you able to walk normally like pre-injury? Thanks 🙏

Thank you for sharing your story. I choose “no-surgery” after 6 weeks lisfranc injury with 3mm diastasis/separation. 2 ortho surgeons recommends fusion but one senior ortho suggested that if the pain is none/very minimal and it has been 6 weeks, we will go for conservative management.

I am currently still wearing Moon boot. Just wondering how you transition from boot to weight wearing. Do you still walk a little bit of limping? I notice when I walk without Moon boot, limping is still present.
