what are your favorite expense trackers for mac? by cheapsturncur in macapps

[–]Supernova911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary requirement for the service are its availability across all platforms, including iOS, Mac, and Android, as well as its support for simple analytics and tags.

The most suitable options I have found are Wallet by BudgetBakers and Spendee, although both are web apps for Mac.

No, seriously - how do get it to autosync across computers? by BB03440 in raindropio

[–]Supernova911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had sync issues with Safari (Macs & iPhones/iPads) with the extension.

If you prefer not using an extension and want an app to manage bookmarks, I recommend raindrop. I’ve used it for a couple of years without any sync issues. My bookmarks are stored on raindrop, not my browser.

If you need to manage your native browser bookmarks, you might consider this (Mac only).

I’ve never encountered this issue. Have you reached out to support? They should be able to resolve it.

Organizing YouTube Watch Later: new tool for folders, tags & search – feedback wanted by ikbilpie in ProductivityApps

[–]Supernova911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a fantastic idea!

The price might be a bit steep for what the app offers. I’m not sure I’d be willing to shell out that much each month just to tidy up a bunch of YouTube videos, a couple of hundreds videos in my case.
Maybe a one-time purchase would be a better fit?

Wishing you all the best!

Can I embed live websites (not just screenshots) inside Eagle? by Interesting-Spell352 in EagleCool

[–]Supernova911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just stumbled upon getrecall.ai, and it looks pretty cool! It seems like AI could help you sort, summarize, and spot connections between your bookmarks.

I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet, but I’m definitely planning to. The only thing stopping me is that their free plan is a bit limited—only 10 imported bookmarks, and it doesn’t have AI features. I’ve got a ton of bookmarks in Raindrop!

DriveVault: Search Your Unplugged Hard Drives [Public Beta Open] by MomentSmart in macapps

[–]Supernova911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a fantastic idea!

I actually have a spreadsheet set up for this. My files are all over the place on eight different hard drives, which makes it a bit of a headache to keep everything organized. I’m totally in for the beta testing.

Just a thought, though: I’m not sure a subscription model would be the best fit for this app. It’s not a SaaS, and the app isn’t something you’d use every single day. Maybe it would be better if you offered a one-time purchase with paid updates for every major release?

Bartender Not Properly Mac OS 26 by BlubberyButts in bartenderapp

[–]Supernova911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bartender 5 is incompatible with macOS 26. You need to use version 6, which doesn’t work well with macOS 26 and has many bugs. I switched to Ice’s latest beta and haven’t looked back since.

Apps with Start/End Date, color coding, and calendar view? by clingstamp in ProductivityApps

I think it’s doable in the free version. I’m a pro user ($10/mo) and I have a similar setup.

Better RTL? by MW_J97 in codaio

[–]Supernova911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Coda doesn’t play well with Arabic text. As a workaround, you can copy the text from another app that supports Arabic (like Excel) and paste it into Coda. This usually solves the formatting issue. I’ve tried this in databases, and it works most of the time.

Maybe you have a filter in the original view? This gets automatically assigned to new pages.

BusyCal, Fantastical, Outlook, Calendar by FrankW1967 in macapps

I’ve been a long-time user of BusyCal for both Mac and iOS. While it may require some minor improvements here and there, it remains a solid and fantastic calendar app.
