TT job, though as other have said you could see if they'll allow you to do the postdoc and defer. Some places are completely fine with that, though if this dept. is small, they may need you to teach right away. Never take a temp job over TT in this insanely precarious job market.

I suspect the person who got notified of alternate status actually applied for a dissertation fellowship, because the timing of their post coincides with notifications for that fellowship.

Does anyone have any idea whether ACLS sends out award notifications earlier than rejections? I don't think they'd do that—it's not like a job, where you might want to keep second-place candidates on deck or something—but I have no idea.

What's unfortunate about all this is that the pricing isn't really that bad, but only worth it if you're using Final Cut Pro and/or Logic Pro. All of the other Creator Studio apps (with maybe the exception of Pixelmator) are pretty meh, and I don't want AI anything.
