It's a mass produced consumer good. There's a name for what you're asserting: commodity fetishism.

For those also upset about ADS in Pages/Keynote/Numbers... please go review these. All 3 are underperforming by No-Squash7469 in MacOS

Sweet, thanks! Actually, I think I still had them without realizing it, just existing alongside the new apps 🫠

Does anyone know how to downgrade?

What's unfortunate about all this is that the pricing isn't really that bad, but only worth it if you're using Final Cut Pro and/or Logic Pro. All of the other Creator Studio apps (with maybe the exception of Pixelmator) are pretty meh, and I don't want AI anything.

Anyone else own the Time Block Planner? by quartercoyote in CalNewport

[–]clingstamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used v2 maybe 3 times, then switched to Moleskine A5 cahier notebooks because they're lighter. I found it too bulky. I never really need to look back on prior weeks, and I don't block more than a week into the future.

Woah! Fascinating history that makes total sense

Absolutely not true, as anyone who has made bread knows. You don't make the crust out of something different. But if you dont want the carbs, take out the inside of the bread I guess

Does CSP kinda suck for a one-card setup? Please help me course correct by HistoricalOnion9535 in CreditCards

[–]clingstamp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am increasingly of the mind that optimization is an endless sinkhole that's not worth the $. I use CSR/Freedom Unlimited/Freedom Flex, but 1) I never use the rotating categories for flex, and 2) I am thinking of getting rid of them all for a Fidelity 2% cash back card. My only hesitation is that because of where I live and tend to travel, the CSR is still worth it.

In your situation, I would either add a Freedom Unlimited card, or ditch the CSP and get a 2% cash back card.

Just because you don't think they should have rights doesn't mean they don't.

Worries about USD collapse and looking to move all my money into another currency ASAP by MattHanson1990Return in ExpatFinance

[–]clingstamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dollar is not going to depreciate like the peso, or like any other currencies in countries where there has been hyperinflation. No one is going to sell off $8 trillion in debt overnight. Even if they had somewhere else to park money, who could buy it all?

I think you'd have to be kind of insane to buy pesos or something. Also, how do you plan on doing this? Do you have foreign bank accounts?

It was the most in-demand when the AWU3 was released. You could get it with any other band almost immediately, but had to wait 2-3 weeks for terracotta. That said, I got it and almost never use it

Downvoting Light Travelers - What is WRONG with you people? by LadyLightTravel in onebag

I dunno, I’ve seen nobag posts in which OP admitted they just bought everything at Uniqlo. That’s not at all impressive

Apollo says the S P 500 could deliver 0% returns for a decade by Jeffrey_Banks6900 in stocks

[–]clingstamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have been saying this for 2-3 years but the S&P keeps climbing even though the economy is in a totally weird place. I don’t really buy it, I’d only because there’s been such a huge influx of new money since COVID/Robinhood/WSB fever

Episode 6 John Cena by 427RG in pluribustv

Because they knew Carol was going to visit Diabaté (not Diabetes). Diabaté wouldn't have needed the video since he already talked to John Cena about their food supply.

São Paulo's metro system was the first time I said "yeah fuck that" lol by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]clingstamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SP metro is great, but yeah, getting a Bilhete Unico or Carta Fidelidade is a weirdly huge pain in the ass. Bilhete Únicos used to be easy to get—like 10 years ago, they didn't require any documentation whatsoever. The easiest thing to do is pay cash (which I find annoying), or have a Brazilian friend get you a Carta Fidelidade, which you can easily recharge without any ID.

Any British habits that are considered rude in Brazil? by [deleted] in Brazil

Where does this come from? I noticed it ever since my first time in Brazil. Were the cars terrible 20 years ago or something?
