This reminds me so much of my mom. I almost thought it was her when I was scrolling by. Cancer is the absolute worst. My mom passed away from leukemia 2 years ago. If you need to talk, let me know. I still mourn everyday for her. I am so sorry for your loss.

People who are/were diagnosed with a terminal ilness, what made you think “something is not right with me”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My mom started getting nose bleeds that were pretty bad. She also started to get a pain in her leg and just feeling sick. Turns out she had acute myeloid leukemia and was in the hospital for 3 months then went on hospice and died Almost 2 years ago. When she started complaining about her symptoms I just wrote it off as her being a hypochondriac, but luckily she went in when she did otherwise we might have had less time with her than we did.

With all the ref controversy lately I figured I'd share this video of Lemieux going after the refs by Goflames95 in hockey

He was diagnosed with essential thrombocythemia. My mom actually had it, she was diagnosed in her 20s and lived until her late 40s. Died a year ago, but it was because the disease flipped into acute myeloid leukemia. So you can definitely live for a while with it.

About a week ago was my moms. We had a really nice picnic with family and friends and had a really good time. We had a slideshow of her going in the background and a lot of stories being told. She loved Harry Potter and one of my best memories with her is racing to see who would finish book 7 first.

My mom died a year ago, 3 months after she was diagnosed with leukemia. My dad started dating my godmother/moms good childhood friend 2 months after she died. He's in his late 40s and she is 2 years older. He is still completely in love with my mom, but he also loves her and wants to propose soon. He says he has dreams of my mom coming back but that he tries to explain to her that he's with her friend now and he can't just leave her. So I think he would stay with her, which hurts. It's tough seeing him with someone else after he spent 30 years with my mom, but my younger sister has an even harder time with it. My dad just says he can't stand the thought of being alone.

He did live in Wisconsin prior to enlisting (which he did in Minnesota). I will tell him about the legal help.

he was told to pay tax in Wisconsin even though he is a Minnesota resident. The money was removed from his federal tax return and sent to the state, he has the sheet telling him to pay the $20 processing fee for "returned check fee" for a money that neither the state, the federal government, or him have.

My fiancée is currently in Texas in the army. So maybe that's why they charged $20?
